I know that this is one of the most frustrating things in the world, but I could really use my fellow Royals help here. I wouldn't ask if it wasn't driving me up the wall. The story starts with the alliance engagement of Mary and Francis, but then legitimization was attempted for Bash. Mary and Bash begin to get close during this period and start a proper relationship. The Vatican eventually comes back with a no verdict for the legitimization. Francis agrees that he will marry Mary and that she can continue her affair with Bash and he will look the other way about it (I think this is somewhere around chapter 17). It is a multi-chapter fic and I think it goes into the late-teens chapter wise and Olivia was a pretty significant part of the middle section. I also am pretty sure that the chapters were titled in the click down bar.
It is NOT A Man for All Seasons, My Songs Know What You did When Darkness Falls, Falling Out Of Favor, or Two is Not Always Better Than One.
It does bare a marked similarity to Run Through My Veins, but in the reverse pairing.
As an added bonus I will write a oneshot for whoever find the story first and leaves a comment or a pm. Not the usual thing to do, but that is how much this is bothering me.
