"Car Jack"

"Hello?" I answered as I placed the phone comfortably to my ear. I huffed quietly to the sound of Bella's voice. She had called me frequently informing me of what she had done or was going to do that day. I at the beginning felt it as a good thing until I realized that most of what she spoke of was Edward, her husband, my son-in-law.

"Hey Cha-Dad, would it be okay if Edward could borrow that car jack of yours. He's been working on Alice's car and seemed to uh… misplace it." By now, I figured she had enough respect for me to remember to call me dad again."Why, nice to hear from you too, hon. My Day was just peachy thanks." I gave with a deep sarcastic tone."Dad!" She already seemed annoyed but it's truly not that hard to get under her skin. "I-I'm sorry, Bell." I quickly found that apologizing was the only way to get somewhere with her. I'll bring it over in just a bit, plus it'll give me a chance to see little Nessy." I smiled as if Bella could see me.

She was quiet for a short moment as if she was getting approval. "If you're busy I can give it to Jake for the next time goes over take Renesmee. I believe Billy is coming over later to watch the game, so I can tell him to give it to him. It seems he has been coming over a lot more often since you and Edward bought me that 6o inch for Father's Day." She gave off a quick laugh.

"No, dad, it's fine." I felt great. "Yeah and Renesmee has been constantly reminding me about that trip to the zoo you promised. Plus, Jacob is out of town of town anyway for some convention or something, so Renesmee is free if you want to take her." The thought of Jacob leaving Nessy was shocking. He would freak out if he didn't see her for ten minutes. He really looked after her. He is truly a really great kid. I strongly felt that Bella and Edward should have had a stronger trust for him.

"Bell, you can tell me if he's off doing some wolf thing." I really didn't understand anything that went on in this secret world they lived around, but I sure portrayed that I did. "No dad, I'm being serious. He told me that he was off to some movie thing on the phone. I personally think something's up but Edward won-" She cut off. I now expected something. "Well" I started "I'll be on my way in just a few. Tell Renesmee that Grandpa's coming to get her.

I pulled up slowly nervous of my upcoming experience. I dreaded going into the doctor's place. I was always so terribly awkward and not to mention strikingly cold. Everything seemed to be real cold about the Cullens. It was if they couldn't even tell the difference between temperatures. As if, they didn't feel it. And not only did their skin feel horrifically frozen, but as did their personality. It was if they were lifeless.

I found myself then walking along the sidewalk and up the steps. I preceded to the door until I stopped to hear a disrupting sound coming from the bottom of my feat. That is when I noticed I had tracked mud all the way from the car. After I wiped my shoes for a short moment, I went up to knock on the door until I was interrupted before the first knock. "Take those filthy shoes off Charlie!" An angelic voice commanded. "Yes Alice" I smiled
