Prologue
Every hero or heroine has a fatal flaw. Every one of them has a bad trait that could, though not necessarily would, be their downfall.
There are no exceptions to this rule.
And as every person is the hero of their own story, that's almost saying- in a backwards, twisted sort of way, mind you- that everyone has one.
If you asked Hotaru Imai, for example, what her fatal flaw was she'd have told you selfishness without missing a beat. Then, she'd probably consider the question a little more and allow that it might be being too cold to the people she cares about.
If you asked Natsume Hyuuga what his was he'd probably try to burn you with his Alice, at least he would have once upon a time. But, if forced, he'd concede that he had problems with letting people in.
If Mikan Sakura were to be asked, she'd probably stare blankly and wonder what the hell the asker was on about. But everyone else wouldn't hesitate to say that hers was probably being too loyal to her friends.
After all, wasn't loyalty to Hotaru the entire reason all of this had started in the first place? Wasn't loyalty to Hotaru- the best friend that seemed to have abandoned her- the entire reason she was being forced-or forcing herself, more accurately- to transfer to the prestigious Alice Academy?
There's a difference between being loyal and being too loyal, after all, and that's probably why everything ended up the way it did.
