"I swear to god Max, if you ask me again I will rip that thing out of your hands and throw it across the room." Max pouted at Victoria, her lower lip jutting out in her infamous puppy pout. To Max's annoyance and Victoria's pride, it only had a thirty-seventy percent success rate, in the blonde's favour.
"Just one selfie, for my photo wall, please?"
"I said no!" She snapped, making max flinch back. Old habits die hard.
Victoria sighed and reached out curling her fingers around the brunette's a wrist.
Their relationship was a new one and like all new relationship it was not without its kinks. Victoria still snapped, insults quick to fly off her tongue. Max was still insecure and painfully shy, barely able to hold Victoria's hand without wanting to ask permission.
The blonde rubbed her thumb along the sensitive skin along on the inside of her wrist. "Sorry." She mumbled. Apologizing wasn't something she was used to doing.
Max nodded, blue eyes dropping to the floor. "It's okay. I shouldn't have pushed you like that." Despite her words, Max still had that pout clinging to her lips and her eyes were still cast to the floor.
Standing, Victoria pulled the brunette to her feet. She tugged insistently but the brunette didn't move. "Victoria?" She huffed before she received a final tug towards the bed.
"Just come on." Victoria implored. Finally Max let herself be led to the bed, where she was promptly pushed her down onto her back. Max's whole face turned red as a tomato. Victoria smirked in satisfaction before crawling into the bed with her girlfriend and curling up against her side and resting her head on her chest. The brunette held her arms aloft for a moment, before relaxing and holding the taller girl to her.
"Not that I'm complaining but why the sudden need to cuddle?" Rolling her eyes the blonde huffed.
"Because you were pouting and I need a break from studying." Max opened her mouth to reply but clicked it shut, deciding to just enjoy the moment.
They lay curled together for an indeterminate amount of time. Warm and cozy together. Eventually Max could feel her legs going numb. "Victoria? Can you move a bit I can't feel my legs." She didn't get a response, not even a huff of annoyance. "Victoria?" Again nothing.
Shifting a bit she looked down and once she realized why she wasn't getting a response she smiled. Victoria was fast asleep with her ear pressed to Max's heart and her fingers curled in her loose t-shirt. She looked so peaceful for a change. Right now would be a perfect photo op.
Max reached for her camera, her fingers scrambling for purchase. Eventually she got it and pulled it up towards her face. Positioning it above her head she smiled and pressed the shutter. The Polaroid slid out and she shook it carefully. She checked that Victoria was still asleep before she looked at the photo.
It was perfect. She looked good, the lighting in the room giving her and Victoria a soft glow. Victoria looked almost angelic with her face so serene and relaxed. Max smirked and carefully tucked it out of the way with her camera, looks like she got her selfie after all.
