The street lights seemed to be too strong for his eyes and the noises tored apart his walked down the street with his head lowered,his eyes empty and passed by,from time to time,preocupied with their own problems and ignoring him.
What am I doing in this world?Where is my place?Do I have a place where I belong?Questions without an answer wondered through Ritsuka's head.
Suddenly he heard somebody crying;he turned to see a child who had fallen to the ground and was crying bitter tears.Poor little one!Ritsuka thought and took a step towards the child to comfort him,but than saw a woman lifting the little boy from the ground.
"Don't cry,Sentaro!Kaasan is here,everything will be alright.I love you and I'll protect you"said the woman hugging her son tightly.
Love!That word.. I worthy of that word?Is there someone willing to rescue me from the darkness for that word?Ritsuka walked away from the two loosing himself into the lights of the city.
He couldn't stop thinking about his mother,because of whoom he was now aimlessly wondering the streets and about Seimei...He felt as a stranger to himself and to the big scary world...was someone thinking about him,waiting for him?Was his existence important to someone?All those people...where did they go,who were they?
Ritsuka felt like he couldn't stand the light anymore..it hurt the noises became unfriendly and began to run away from the lights,sinking into thought he would feel better there...but he was emptyness he was feeling inside was growing...he was faiding away,consumed by it.
Than he felt warm and familiar hands holding him,wormth getting hold of his entire body. He opened his eyes to the light,a pleasant light and found himself in a cosy room.A voice whispered his name and the boy felt like he was reborn,energy returning to his body. He felt happy,as the name of his saviour came to his mind: Soubi! The darkness dissapeared as if it had never been there and Ritsuka found that he belonged there, in those arms. He felt love ...so he was worthy of that word and from that moment he would never doubt it again. Every creature in this world is worthy of love, no matter how small it is. Other names came to Ritsuka's mind: Yuiko-chan,Yayoi-kun,Shinonome sensei,Natsuo-kun,Youji-kun,Kio-san,Katsuko sensei. They all cared about him and were his friends. He wasn't alone.
Ritsuka felt soft lips upon his and he surrendered in the kiss that gave him inner peace and made him stronger. He wasn't a stranger to the world anymore because he found that life was worth living, even if it was only for that voice, for those lips, for the one who he loved from the bottom of his heart. Soubi gave his life meaning. And Ritsuka knew love...ai. That word,so small...yet so important. Forever.
