Hello fellow Vaseshippers! I know it's vaseshipping week so I finally decided to write something. It honestly isn't great and I'm not that proud but I hope you enjoy. And sorry it's short.

Vaseshipping Day 3: The end of all things

"No! Ouji-sama! I won't let you!" Mana cried out and raced towards him.

He faced her with regretful eyes as he held his puzzle and looked at the pages of the millennium spell book. "I'm sorry Mana, but I have to do this," he said, his usually controlled voice was tired and urgent.

Mana's eyes started to well up. "But I'll never see you again. You can't leave me. There has to be another way."

"There might be but we don't have time," he said. "Mana, you'll be fine. You'll be part of Seth's court."

"But you promised, you promised," she babbled, the tears started to fall from her eyes and she clung on Atem's cape. "We're supposed to be together. It can't end like this."

Atem turned towards for her for a brief moment and gave her a small but genuine smile. "Who says this is the end?"

"P-promise?"

"Promise."

He pulled away from her and scanned his eyes over the hieroglyphics one last time before he charged towards Zorc.

"Ouji-sama…" Mana trailed as she watched. Tears fell uncontrollably from her eyes as she watched her best friend and lover whisper sacred words to a powerful spell. She trembled and her leg gave way when he uttered the last words and disappeared.

She ran towards the millennium puzzle that had broken into pieces, the only trace of him that was left. With her tears still clinging on her cheeks, she picked up the centre piece and held it to her heart.

1000 years later

Where are you Ouji-sama? Why are you taking so long? Even I've been dead for a long time… why can't I find you?

2000 years later

I miss you Ouji-sama. Do you miss me? You promised we'll see each other again, remember?

3000 years later

Oh, Ouji-sama I can feel you. You're alive, aren't you? But you don't remember, that's why you're not here yet, right? I'm waiting Atem. I can't wait to see you.

The door of the afterlife opened allowing the pharaoh to finally move forward. As his modern clothes changed into his ancient attire he felt the hot sun of Egypt and arms that felt like home. "Ouji-sama! You're here, finally!"

"Mana," he said and then chuckled. He felt like he had finally breathed after holding his breath for so long. "I told you, didn't I?"

"Thank you," Mana said and pulled Atem closer, not wanting to let go.

Atem smiled and then tightened his arms around her. "Thank you for waiting."
