It was just another, busy day at the beach. People tanned themselves as the sun beat down, and waves lapped the soft white sand, where several kids were playing and making sandcastles.

As everyone around Antonio seemed to be having so much fun, he sighed in boredom and jealousy. The young lifeguard enjoyed his job, most of the time, but he'd been sat in his watchtower all morning without a single thing to do. Granted, he should be happy that no one was hurt or drowning, but still, it would be nice if he had something, anything to do. He had to remain vigilant though. An incident could pop up at any time!

Antonio picked up his binoculars, and scanned the waters again. Nothing out of the ordinary so…wait, was that a man drowning several meters off shore? Yeah, it definitely was. The man in question was a short blonde, thrashing wildly around in the water, trying to keep his head above the waves that were crashing into him.

Springing into action, Antonio leapt from his watchtower and ran to the ocean, powering effortlessly through the waves as he swam towards the man.

"You're going to be OK," he soothed, as he grabbed the man and swam back to shore.

Antonio lay the man on his side once they were back to shore, and began assessing him.

"Can you tell me your name?" he questioned, testing his consciousness.

"Kirkland. Arthur Kirkland," the man replied weakly, coughing.

"Ok, my name's Antonio, I'm a lifeguard here," Antonio said clearly. "You almost drowned back there Arthur, what were you doing that far out?"

"Got caught in a riptide," Arthur said bluntly, "Pulled me straight out to sea." And he rubbed his eyes, trying to get the salt water out, so he could get a good look at his saviour. The lifeguard's sun-kissed skin glistened as water dripped off of his muscular frame, and his eyes were the greenest thing Arthur had ever seen. Damn, he was hot…

"Alright, I think you're free to go. Thankfully you don't appear to have taken in any water," Antonio told him, helping him stand up.

Arthur's face curled into an innocent smile. "Are you sure I don't need you to take care of me just a little more?" he said playfully.

Antonio chuckled just a little. "No, I think you're alright. But come by the watchtower around six, when I get off work if you don't feel well," he teased, winking as he walked away…
