Waiting For the Night
Shouto trudged across the moonlit hallway, exhausted from a seven week assignment in the Akita Prefecture. He could probably sleep for a week but all he wanted to do was to see Izuku.
Clutching the tube with a limited edition All Might poster inside, Shouto hoped the surprise gift would cheer up his boyfriend; this was the longest they had been apart since moving in together after graduation.
The bedroom door creaked on its hinges as Shouto stepped inside and he turned on the bedside lamp, only for his eyes to widen at an unexpected sight.
Izuku was curled up, sleeping on their bed but he was not alone. No, Izuku cuddled a Pro Hero Shouto plushie.
Did Izuku buy the plushie cause he was lonely? A powerful rush of emotions made Shouto's throat ache with love for the sleeping man, so Shouto leaned down, placing a light kiss on Izuku's forehead.
Stripping down to his boxers next, Shouto climbed into bed beside Izuku, gently prying the plushie from Izuku's hands and setting it aside.
Izuku reached for him instead, blanketing Shouto in Izuku's warmth."Shouto."
Shouto cradled Izuku's head against his chest in turn, whispering."I'm home."
