PROLOGUE:
Shane wasn't exactly aware of what had happened. He was filming with The Fine Brothers for their most recent episode of Youtubers React, just as always. He stared dully at the screen, ready to shoot sarcastic remarks at it. A girl appeared on the screen, her eyes seeming to pierce through the laptop.
"My name is Sasha," the girl said. She began to spin a story that was her life. Soon enough, it struck home with Shane.
"I was abused when I was younger. My mom was alcoholic, and I'm not sure if she knew what she was doing," said Sasha. Shane briefly closed his eyes, attempting to keep his face unreadable.
"A lot of times, she would tell me how ashamed she was of me. I believed all of the terrible things that she told me. I still do. I guess I related that to how I looked. I thought I was really fat. I was diagnosed as anorexic-" Shane slammed the laptop shut. He glanced and Benny and Rafi before looking down again.
He gulped. "Uh, can I just answer the questions NOW, or..?" He questioned. And thus, the questioning began.
"So that video was called My Way Now. This was the video she planned to leave before she committed suicide. But that was two years ago, and she's still here. She wanted to post it to show how far she's come. Why do you think she called it that?"
"Uh, because things are going her way now," Shane said, still uneasy. The questioning continued as it always would until a few minutes later.
"Now, we have to ask why you reacted so strongly to this girl."
Shane's eyes shifted. "I-I relate to her a lot. Uh..my dad was heavily abusive and drunk when I was a kid. And..I haven't told anyone this, but... I'm actually anorexic."
