Disclaimer: I don't own the Wizard of Waverly Place series... otherwise, it would have ended a bit more like this then how it actually did (not counting Alex VS Alex.)

Alternate Ending

"What's going on here?" Max asked as he came up closer to Alex and Justin.

The family all looked at each other anticipating what could come next in this fight for their powers.

"Do we really want just one of us to win the powers?" Justin asked, taking a step back from the mist door.

Alex and Max both had the same thing on their minds, neither of them wanted to be the only one to get powers.

"But if one of us doesn't go through, then what will happen?" Max asked as he stepped next to Justin.

"Isn't it obvious?" Alex asked her two brothers, when they both gave her a confused look she smiled a smile that meant that she had a plan. "Look, we dont want to be like Dad, Uncle Kelbo and Aunt Megan, do we?" Max and Justin both answered with a No. "Well then, it's simple, we walk out a family. All three of us, together."

Justin caught on to the plan first, "We can't be even a step out of line with each other. The rule is whoever exits the door first will win."

Alex stood between the two boys and took their hands, "Ready?"

"Ready." They said.

The three of them exited the mist, not one step behind the other.

Professor Crumbs looked confused, along with everyone else that was waiting for the first one to exit.

"This is a strange turn in events, in fact, I can't ever remember this happening in my time of doing the Wizard Competitions." Professor Crumbs said.

"Now, that's saying something." Rutietootie said.

Crumbs continued as if he hadn't heard Rutietootie, "Wizard Council?"

Crumbs walked over to the Wizard Council with Rutietootie behind him. Alex, Max and Justin all went over to the group.

"That was risky kids, very risky. Why did you do it?" Jerry asked his kids.

"We did like you wanted, daddy. We weren't going to let the Wizard Competitions come in the way of our family." Alex said from Masons arms.

The family talked with each other as they waited for the decision. Crumbs came back over with Rootietootie and sighed.

"After reviewing and reviewing, we have finally came to a decision. Alex, Max, you both get to keep your powers." There was excitement for that, but then Juliet, and Justin both said, "What about Justin?"

"Justin is a special case, if I may?" Crumbs brought Justin to a empty spot and spoke, "I have been needing to tell you, I am retiring from being the Headmaster of WizTech, and I want you to be the new Headmaster."

Rootietootie had heard that part, "I was in line for that job!"

Crumbs looked over at him, "Yes, but a thousand years of bad breath jokes add up." Then he continued with Justin, "If you accept, I shall grant you my powers and I will give you the job just as soon as it is announced publicly."

"But why, Professor?"

"If you are capable of teaching a group of delinquents, including your sister, then you are fit for the job. As well, I am just getting to old to hold this job, and it must be passed to someone that I can trust."

"I accept." Justin said with a great smile on his face. Professor Crumbs nodded, the turned to the rest of the Russos and friends. "May I present the new Headmaster of WizTech, Professor Russo." Crumbs called out.

Cheering went around through everyone. Zeke gave Justin a man hug, Juliet gave Justin a kiss to remember, everyone sent around their congrats. Everyone was cheering for all the Russo's finding a way to make the History books. Hugs, kisses, laughter were all shared on that day.
