Rose Tyler is unsure for the first time in what feels like forever. She doesn't know if she can even step out of the bathroom with the little plastic thing that tells her if something's growing inside of her and show it to her husband.

He's a doppelganger of who she used to love. Who she still does love because the two are one in the same. He is the Doctor and the Doctor is him. Having known the Doctor Rose suspects that he will be overcome with an incomparable joy that there will be an addition to their family. So why is she so nervous?

Maybe it's only natural that she feel this sense of nervousness. This washing of unease that is not at all cleaning, nor is it pleasant. Rose gives a shaky sigh, dark green eyes closing as though in doing so she will erase all of those feelings that shroud her abilities to think clearly.

Rose takes a step from the bathroom while biting her bottom lip. She is so out-of-character from her usually cocky, witty self that the Doctor notices immediately and rushes to her side.

"You alright?" He asks, wrapping his arms around her in a hug that she does not return. He hasn't noticed the plastic piece she holds onto so tightly her knuckles have begun to turn white until she pulls it up to her chest.

"Doctor?" Rose murmurs, her gaze finally meeting his own chocolate brown one as he moves back far enough to look at her properly.

"What is it?" The Doctor's eyes immediately begin to search hers for a hint of what is wrong. He jumps to the worst scenarios, that she's going to leave him or she's been cheating on him.

"I-I'm..." Rose stutters which is also very out-of-character for her and causes the Doctor to look at her with an even greater concern. She breathes in before letting it out in a rush to explain. "I'm pregnant."

The Doctor can't help but stand still and shocked as she flips the test to show him the two symmetrical lines that stare at him. He is too overjoyed to speak or make an expression until he sees the uncharacteristic worry that litters her face.

He pulls his wife close so he can kiss her to attempt to express his joy. "This is perfect. Beyond perfect. It's wonderful. Superb."

Rose laughs as she realizes the Doctor is preparing for the next chapter of their lives with the attempt to find the right word to explain how he feels. She finds it for him simply in one French word. "Allons-y."

And with that they kiss once more to welcome the future of a growing family.
