I hear the door to our hotel room, and I stiffen, bracing myself for the backlash. Joe had already sent me a warning text message on the way back to the hotel, warning me about his bad mood.
"Hey." He says somewhat angrily, stomping into the bathroom. I roll my eyes, because he looks like a little kid when he does this. Always. I wait for the water to turn on, and then tiptoe past the closed door and out into the hallway. Joe is already waiting for me, a smirk on his face.
"What on earth did you do to him?" I ask; my eyes wide. Nick suddenly appears, and gives me the same smirk. "Okay, what did you guys do to him? I've never seen him like this."
"Relax," Nick says, trying hard not to laugh. "I'm sure he'll be okay." I give them both another look. "Okay, so maybe we hid his phone." I reach out instinctively and slap Joe on the shoulder. He howls and gives me a look.
"But Kate- I didn't even DO it!" Joe protests. "I just hid his clothes." I reach out and hit Joe again, causing Nick to just lose it and lean up against the wall desperately hoping to catch his breath.
"You guys should be shot. Both of you." I hold out my hand, and Kevin's phone magically appears in my left hand, while Kevin's jeans appear in my right. "Go to bed," Joe smirks again, and I give him a look that immediately silences him.
"Good night, pretty girl," he says affectionately, kissing my forehead before going down the hall. Nick stands there, his hands in his pockets, turning about fifteen shades of red. I raise my eyebrow, and he just shrugs.
"You look really pretty tonight," He says softly. I had always known in the back of my mind that Nick had a crush on me, but I didn't realize it until now.
"Oh to be 15," I hug him and mess with his curls a bit. "Go call your girlfriend." He grins and shows that behind his back, he was already dialing. I roll my eyes and go back into my hotel room.
By now, Kevin is done with his shower and standing in front of our bed in loose fitting pajama pants and a simple t-shirt. "Where did you go?" He asks angrily, but his face softens when I hold up his belongings. "Joe's an ass." He says simply, and I giggle.
"Yeah, I know." I give him his phone, and toss the jeans onto a chair. "If he only he knew the meaning behind those jeans."
"Mhmm." Kevin quickly sheds the pajamas and slips on the jeans. I grin at them, only because they're loose fitting with holes in the knees. "Ahhh," He breathes, and I can't help but laugh at him. "I missed this." He crawls in our bed, barefoot, just like every night, and gives me a look until I climb next to him and rest my head on his chest.
"When are you going to tell them?" Kevin looks down at me in shock.
"Tell them what? That I prefer to wear jeans that allow my," he blushes, "lower body to breathe?" I giggle again and kiss his cheek. He's so cute when he talks about uncomfortable topics. "Never. Joe would know right away." I raise my eyebrow again.
"He would. He's got an eye for that stuff." I roll my eyes. "I mean it Kate. He's not as dumb as everyone thinks." Kevin reaches over to the night stand and slips off his purity ring, quickly replacing it with another similar silver band.
"I love you Mrs. Jonas," He says quietly.
"I love you too, Superstar." I kiss him quickly before falling asleep.
