Naruto With More Potholes
Chapter one, a close one
Kushina labored screams echoed through the cave as she pushed her baby out. Minato was next to her holding her hand telling her to keep strong. After a lot of pain and labor the baby came out of Kushina's womb, a healthy baby boy. The new parents decided to name him Naruto, after a character in one of Jiraiya's books.
Suddenly the air seemed to warp as a masked man appeared, "I am Madara Uchiha," the masked man said. The masked man grabbed Naruto, threatening him with a kunai, "If you want this child give me the Kyuubi." Minato lunged for the man claiming to be Madara yet failed to grab him, Madara sidestepped yet suddenly found he lacked any purchase with the ground, he tripped and almost dropped the baby. Minato capitalized on his chance and went for the baby only to trip on another pothole he had failed to notice. Madara quickly stood up and rushed for Kushina, Minato could do nothing but watch from his place on the ground. Madara tampered with the seal weakened by childbirth and the Kyuubi came out from Kushina, Madara used his sharingan to command the beast to ravage konoha, he then gave the baby back to Minato and teleported away.
The nine tails turned toward the village moving to step on a building, the building and its inhabitants were crushed by the wave of malevolent chakra as it destroyed the entire block. The fox having dealt with this section of town moved on to ravage the next. Minato ran out of the cave to deal with the Kyuubi as it ravaged the village, summoning the toad boss Gamabunta. Minato commanded Gamabunta to hold the kyuubi in place as he prepared to sacrifice himself for the good of the village. Minato teleported to Kushina and grabbed Naruto, to be the next Jinchuriki. The Kyuubi seeing the sealing ritual began to shove Gamabunta away and move in to kill Naruto. The Kyuubi swiped at Naruto but missed as one of his tails had carved aa pothole into the ground moments after his sealing, the Kyuubi missed, hitting Kushina instead. At the moment Kushina bled out the ritual was complete the kyuubi was stuffed into baby Naruto along with a portion of Kushina and Minato's chakra.
Sarutobi Hiruzen looked over the broken village, with no hokage to lead it would be a difficult time for everyone. Hiruzen put off the mourning of his wife to help the village recover as he stepped forward he tripped on a pothole. Sarutobi cursed the shitty roads that paved Konoha and resolved to have them fixed one day.
