Password
Blake and Rossi stepped into JJ's old office, trying to find where she would have put the secure files. Rossi mentioned that JJ used to review old case files in the office, and Blake responded with, "Well, she wouldn't have put anything too far out of reach…"
And then she saw it.
A solid black box with a digital combination lock on the front.
Quickly, she hauled it onto the desk and looked at the combination, and then said to Rossi, "Alright, four digits…any ideas?"
He looked thoughtful for a moment and said, "Henry's birthday is November 12…"
"Okay…eleven…twelve…" It flashed and didn't unlock. "It's too easy."
"Try 2008, the year she became a mom," Rossi supplied, and Blake tried it. It still didn't open. She looked up at him and shrugged her shoulders…and then was shocked when Rossi, after a long moment of staring at her, suddenly asked, "Can you keep a secret?"
She nodded.
"Of course, why?"
He gave her another look.
"Try 0703…"
Blake plugged in the code. The box unlocked.
She looked up at him as she flipped it open and asked, with a curious look, "And what's 0703?"
He looked at her.
"Hotch's birthday."
He then opened a file, and she was able to immediately read between the lines of what he had just told her. There was something going on between JJ and Hotch, and, apparently, Rossi knew about it, but hadn't said a word until now. She knew that much simply by the fact that he'd asked her if she could keep a secret.
She said nothing and they ran through the files and quickly found something called Integrity.
Well, time to find some answers.
But even as they went to work, the new information lingered on Blake's mind.
JJ and Hotch.
Well…they did make a good pair, after all.
