Title - Final Goodbye
Summery - The day of Fred's funeral.
The battle was over; Voldemort was vanquished, the wizarding and muggle worlds were still recovering after the destruction caused. The Weasley family including Harry and Hermione, were standing in the grave yard in Godric's Hollow. The rain was pouring down in large cold dollops. They were standing over the open grave of Fred Weasley. A wizard minister stood in front of the family wearing a long black travelling cloak, along the hem of the cloak it was stitched in golden threads.
The coffin was already placed into the hole - it was made of dark shiny wood - and a Gryffindor flag was placed over the top of it, as well as Fred's Gryffindor Quidditch robes.
The family all took in turns to say something lovely about Fred and what a great person he was - even though he did drive Molly up the wall. The last person to go was George, he had spent the last couple of days planning out what to say, and everything he could think of sounded silly. So he took a few deep breaths and just wrote what came to his heart.
He was shaking all over as he started to speak, "Fred I'm going to miss you" he started tears running down his face, "You've always been there for me, we've always did everything together; we planned and schemed our pranks together, we built and bought our shop together and it wont be the same without you. You were more than a brother to me, you were my best friend, my partner in crime" he finished tears running down his face damping his black suit.
At the end of the service everyone was teary-eyed. The minister left them to be alone with their deceased. Everyone was silent thinking about Fred and all the times he brought a smile to their face. Before they left they all dropped flowers and things that belonged to Fred. Lastly before getting in the car - which was parked outside the graveyard - they sprinkled dirt onto of the coffin.
It took Molly a few ties to leave the graveyard, she just couldn't find the strength to leave her son. But she told herself that he would still be there; she just wouldn't be able see him, but she would have memories of him.
George stood next to her for a few minutes and told her softly, that she still had him, and Fred was the identical of him, so really Fred wouldn't be forgotten or lost. She gave him a tight hug before, wiping her eyes and letting him lead her to the car, not without one last glance over at her resting son.
A/N Okay a verrrrrrrry short one shot but I hope you liked it anyway, please review (:
