Love Is Never Wrong

Eisen knew he was in love with his partner, but something was telling him it was wrong, aside from all of the people who lived in the city whom held disdain towards those who loved one of the same gender. His gaze settled on his Hachiyo partner, thoughts whirling through his mind like a dozen hurricanes.
Yasuaki turned to Eisen. "Though I do not understand, I know love is never wrong." He then started to depart.
Eisen watched his partner's retreating form and suddenly felt a surge of courage from the words of the Chi no Genbu. He tensed and then opened his mouth to call out to the one he held love for. He clenched a fist and held it to his chest, willing his heart to stop pounding so rapidly. "Yasuaki-dono!"
Yasuaki turned to face Eisen, he didn't ignore the young man if it could be helped. "What is it, Eisen?" he asked as he returned to his partner.
Eisen was feeling the courage drain from him fast and knew he had to say it before he lost all of his nerve. "Yasuaki-dono...aishiteru...." he whispered, cheeks inflamed, eyes facing the ground, fear of rejection filling him.
Yasuaki was stunned, he knew his partner was troubled by feeling love for someone, but he had never expected it to be himself! He could see Eisen was about to fall apart. Before that could happen, Yasuaki considered everything he'd felt recently. The warmth in his chest was always so gentle and yet full of life whenever he was with Eisen. He knew that warmth meant he had a heart. And feeling warmth in one's heart is one way to know if they're in love. It was never even like this with Akane...he did feel warmth, but not the same kind. He recalled recently he felt a tingle whenever they accidentally touched each other. It was a pleasant tingle, one that sent the warmth to his belly. He didn't understand why it was there...but he did crave more of it. He felt relaxed around Eisen and treasured every moment they were together. He knew it. He wrapped his arms around the now trembling male. He placed a gentle kiss on his head. "I thought about it, and I know that....Eisen, aishiteru." He felt tears seeping through his robe. "Why are you weeping?"
Eisen chuckled shakily. "Because I am so happy..." He held Yasuaki tight, afraid to let go and have this all just be a dream.
"Yume ja nai," Yasuaki assured as he nestled his nose in Eisen's hair. He heard a content sigh coming from the one he loved. He too felt content, thanks to Eisen, he was gaining a much better understanding of his feelings, though the warmth in his belly confused him still, but he'd talk about that later. No need to ruin such a tender moment.
