Fox was having nightmares, It had been a year since that day. The day that she had left him. "N-no I didn't mean to . . . . . I-I'm sorry . . . PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!". Fox woke up after shouting that out in his sleep. He had realized that it had been a year since the day it happened. When he lost the one person that meant the world to him. He got out of his bed checked his clock which he read out loud "7:40 AM. Already, jeez, I guess I gotta go meet the team for breakfast.". He stepped into the bathroom and shuddered a little as the floor was very cold. He picked up his toothbrush and toothpaste and began brushing his teeth. Like his usual morning routines, he got into the nice steamy shower to wake himself up. After his nice shower he decided to go dress up into his normal uniform. While dressing up, a photo had slipped out of his pocket. He bent over and picked it up noticing it had tear marks on it. He slowly turned it around and revealed that it had been his only photo of Krystal. After looking at the photo, he crumpled it up and threw it into the trashcan nearby. He stepped out of his room and stretched a bit and started to head towards the canteen. Waiting for him was Slippy, Peppy and Falco were already there eating honey oats cereal. Fox took a seat next to Peppy and before Fox could do anything Peppy took one look at Fox's face and said
"You having those nightmares again Fox?"
Fox just nodded silently while eating his cereal. He had a hard time swallowing his serial. Just like how he had a hard time swallowing down the guilt of him being the reason Krystal left the team. Falco couldn't handle it anymore. He hated to see his best friend so miserable. Falco stood up and scolded Fox
"Fox, get a hold of yourself! The past is in the past. we can't dwell on the past forever Fox. We all have to leave it behind one day"
Fox knew that Falco was right. He had to move on and look towards his future. Fox also knew that this would be hard on him. He was crying for days when he had found out that Fara was killed by one of Andross's robots. he couldn't take much more stress. So he had to keep his mind off the matter until he could confront the problem head on. He didn't really have any other way to relieve stress since there was no yoga room or silent area on the ship, so he went down to the armory station where he decided to do target practice. At the range, Fox loaded up a jungle background and picked up an ion pistol. He walked toward lane 1 and raised his gun. Once raised, Holographic targets started to appear. But one by one they all got hit by Fox. At one point Fox was losing accuracy, he still couldn't get his mind off Krystal. He put the gun down and went to go clean his Arwing.
At the hanger, Fox was just about to grab a rag when out of nowhere "Attention: Friendly fighter is requesting to dock, I repeat, Friendly fighter is requesting to dock." Robs voice was echoing through the ship.
When Fox had seen the ship requesting to land he was full of joy. He immediately told Rob to grant the ship access. For that ship was a familiar sight to Fox. It was none other than the Cloud Runner. The only words Fox could say was "Krystal".
