Shopping
AN: This is as close as I can get to a holiday drabble this year. ;A; Been so busy with work and Christmas plans and all... Well, enjoy the fluff for what it's worth! Enjoy the coming two weeks, whether you celebrate something or not. c:
He watched from behind a shelf as Scorpius waled into the store, pale cheeks slightly flushed from the cold. He brushed his blonde bangs away from his eyes and smiled at nothing. He was carrying a shopping bag from a store Albus didn't recognize and it seemed as though he was heading to buy more. "Christmas shopping, Malfoy?"
The blonde turned to him, not quite smiling so brightly, but not bothered by his presence either. "Yes, Potter... Something like that, anyhow."
"I see." The auburn haired teen nodded a bit, eyeing the bag with an obvious curiosity.
Scorpius clearled his throat and moved the bag to his other hand... Away from Albus. "Now, if you don't mind, I'll just be on my..."
"What's in it?"
Scorpius sighed, "None of your concern, Potter. Now leave me be, I only have a couple o-of... Hours..."
The smirk on Albus' face turned to a full on grin as the Malfoy boy turned to leave, catching on that this Potter wasn't going to let him off. Before Scorpius could get out of the door, he was lifted off the ground, back pressed against Albus' chest. "PUT. ME. DOWN."
"Is my present in there?" He was looking over the squirming male's shoulder to the brown bag he had clutched to his chest. Albus chuckled as his boyfriend elbowed him in the side. It wasn't hard enough to hurt the seeker, but warning enough to put him down.
"No, it's not." Scorpius snapped, brushing the wrinkles out of his long coat. "But Rose's gift is... And I don't trust your big mouth not to say anything."
"Aww, come on!" He reached for the bag again, at this point just to tease the other, and had his hand pushed away. He laughed, "You're so cute, Scor. Why does this matter so much to you?"
"It... It just does." There was a short silence between them before he decided Albus wouldn't stop until he knew. "I just... I feel... Lucky."
"Lucky?"
"Yes, lucky." He said with a tone implying that this should be quite obvious. Seeing Al with a tilted head, much like a confused puppy, he sighed. "I'm lucky to have... Great friends, to have had most of your family take me in and..." He looked into his lover's eyes, his expression turning to that of a calm joy, nearly dazed. "To have... You."
Albus grinned again, much larger than he had before, scooping up Scorpius bridal style and kissing his cheek.
Still holding the bag in one hand, the blonde wrapped his arms around Al's neck with a small yelp. "Honestly!"
The Potter boy only laughed. "You love me terribly, don't you? Just not enough to trust me with what you will be giving Rose?"
Scorpius scoffed, "I said I loved you. That doesn't imply that I think you have any level of self control."
Albus laughed harder.
