A/N: Hey all, this is my first fanfic so PLEASE review. I don't appreciate hate, so please constructive criticism and/or compliments. Sorry for how short it is, and I know it's boring. So sorry about that. But like I said, please bear with me as it's my first story. Thank you! Don't forget to review!

Joanne Jefferson blinked the sleep out of her eyes, and looked over at the digital alarm clock. 4:30 AM. Joanne groaned, she'd have to get up in an hour anyway, and she knew she'd never fall back asleep. Sitting up, she swung her legs off her bed and slid them into the fuzzy slippers awaiting her feet, then dragged herself into the bathroom. Joanne stared at herself in the mirror, at her mocha colored skin, and her chocolate colored eyes, and sighed. There was a hole in her heart that she wasn't sure how to fill. Her life was near perfect, with her rich parents and her privileged life, and yet she felt that something was missing. Then as quickly as it had begun, the moment was over and Joanne was turning her shower to the hottest temperature before stripping off her robe and climbing in.

Having finished work, Joanne decided to go for a few drinks at a shady little bar. She had always loved these seemingly seedy places that were teeming with Bohemians. Once she was inside, she ordered an apple martini and sat at the end of the bar, where she was well out of the way but could still watch the bohos and imagine for that moment that she was one of them. Suddenly, there was a woman standing next to her and she heard a raspy voice say, chuckling, "are you lost?"
