Notes
Welcome to my Kacchako Positivity Week: Day Two one shot! This one is short, like really short, since most of my efforts went into my three shot for the week. This takes place during the movie, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, but I actually haven't spoiled myself at all so I have no idea about anything from what the party is to the actual proper timeline of the movie compared to the series LOL. Think of this as an AU of the movie where Bakugou and Ochako have been dating for a few months in (mostly) secret, and there's a party that they're going to at the... hotel? They're staying at? Haha, I really have no idea, so please don't think much of the setting!
Regardless, I hope you enjoy my one shot for the prompt Roses. See you all tomorrow!
"Are you excited for the party?" She asked, despite knowing what her company's answer would be. Katsuki was not the party and socialize type, she knew. That didn't stop her from being excited and asking anyway.
The boy in question scoffed, raising an eyebrow at Ochako. "You hit your head or something?"
Ochako giggled, looking out at the city below them from the balcony. It was beautiful here, and she was grateful to have gotten the opportunity to go. As a child, she had never even dreamed of being able to travel like this. Big cities, airplanes, everything had seemed so foreign to her - even the fancy dress she was wearing.
"You look good, though," Ochako told him. "Even if you're not looking forward to going, I'm glad I got to see you all dressed up!" And that was true. Her boyfriend of a few months looked great. It was a treat to see him in something so form fitting and handsome, considering his usual attire. "The suit really suits you."
Katsuki rolled his eyes at her, trying to fight the blush that he had grown accustomed to whenever his girlfriend complimented him. "Whatever," he bit out, but the word held no malice. He had gotten used to her antics a long time ago, long before she had confessed to him.
He hesitantly rose his hand up to touch the flower in her hair. Despite his awkwardness and dread for social events, he had to agree with Ochako: it was nice to see her dressed up as well. He always thought she looked nice (he had long since gotten over the anger he felt about finding her attractive), but seeing her in a dress did something weird to him. He wanted to shake himself.
"Do you like it?" She asked, referring to the flower Katsuki had touched gingerly. "I have matching clips you can put on your suit, if you'd like!"
Her enthusiasm made him agree before even realizing what he was doing. Another thing he had to get used to when they started dating was her incredible ability to make him agree to things he really didn't want to do without batting an eye. It infuriated him, still. However, Ochako's giant smile at his agreement made him think it wasn't that bad of a thing to agree to.
"Love the flowers, Bakugou," Kirishima snickered as they walked to the party together. Going with the redhead had been Katsuki's idea - most of class 1A weren't aware of his relationship with Ochako, yet - but he was starting to regret it.
"Shut your mouth, shitty hair."
"Really though, where'd you get them?" He asked Katsuki, entering the giant room. Katsuki searched the hall, eyes easily landing on his girlfriend before flicking away to nothing.
"Nowhere," he said, his eyes drifting back to Ochako. "Nowhere you need to know about, anyways."
