Just a silly little fanfic about what would happen if a certain doll was left with her worst enemy.
The sunlight fell idly onto the floor and gave good lighting to the small room. The slovenly owner was out, as were the other dolls (all visiting each other) so the blonde was left all alone. Well, alone besides the one other inhabitant on the other side of the room to her. The emerald eyes met her blue orbs and set there, and standing, he flexed his strong muscled legs and made his way over. Shinku trembled seeing him approach, quivering, and shouting, "Y-You beast! Back off!"
Then, it meowed and carried on its path of terror.
She took out her cane and wielded it like a weapon toward the furry 'demon', "Sam, y-you monstrous creature! Go away or I'll... I'll hit you!"
Yes, Jun had left Shinku home alone with the cat he and his sister recently adopted. She'd never hated Jun more.
Sam's owners were from Glasgow, and had named him after 'Sam the Skull', which was a cat Alastair McDonald had sung about. The cat in the song had 'claws in his paws like a crocodile's jaws' and could 'swallow ye a rat, or even the occasional dug (dog)'. To Shinku, the surprisingly cat may as well have just been like that though he was everything but.
In reality, the bi-coloured feline was sweet and docile, and all he wanted was a fuss.
The black and white moggie carried on his attempt to join her, but she backed away with teary eyes, "G-Go away! Get you horrid paws away from me! Don't you dare come any closer!" She was growing more frantic, and was stood against the wall with eyes wide with fright. There was approximately a foot distance between the pair, and her pink cane dropped suddenly to the ground; she was shaking far too much to hold it.
Finally, her saviour came dramatically in through the patio doors – this was a sentence Shinku never would have imagined applied to her life. The devious giggle was silenced when the red dressed doll rushed over and cowered behind her elder sister.
"Hey, Shinku, its not like you to hide, you know?" She said with irritation, "What's wrong?"
"I-Its that foul... foul creature! Him!" She pointed her finger at the puffy, black and white cat who simply meowed at them.
"That's a cat Shinku, you know?" Kanaria tapped her foot on the floor with impatience, "You're not scared of him are you? He's harmless."
"He's not! He's evil! Pure evil! He- He has claws like... Like a crocodile's-"
"That's a song you dope."
Kanaria stepped away from her whimpering little sister, and walked over to the rather puzzled cat, "Hey buddy, I'm just gonna pet you, you know?" She placed her tiny hand on his head and stroked it, making him give a light and happy meow. Starting to rub his chin, the doll smiled and said, "You see Shinku, he's harmless! If I, the greatest of the Rozen Maiden's can pet him, then he's fine, you know?"
The red-dressed doll seemed far from convinced, and just turned her head away, "Still... I'd rather that thing was gone."
"What's his name?"
"Sam. Sam the Skull."
"So it is the song?"
"I suppose so."
Growing suddenly –and momentarily- mature, the second Rozen Maiden heaved a sigh, "Its just a song, it doesn't mean this cat named after him will follow it. He's so friendly. And besides, if you're so set in keeping the moggie away from you, just get a dog."
"A dog?" She echoed, seeming uncertain.
"Yes, you know the thing that goes woo-"
"I know what a dog is!" She snapped, "But don't they slobber? Wouldn't that be disgusting?"
"Not all of them do, get a not-so-slobbery dog."
There was a long pause before the rose doll giggled, "And I could call him Shug. He could eat Sam for his tea!"
There are a lot of jokes that will be in this stemming from two Alastair McDonald songs – Sam the Skull and The Lugton Dug
Updates soon, along with hopefully longer chapters
