Demyx sat yapping away to Luxord as the latter prepared dinner for the Organization. Each had a night assigned to them to cook dinner and whenever Luxord's came around Demyx always remained present to wait.
"So then Larxene said to Marluxia that she loved him even though she didn't have a heart. Then I thought of something. I love someone too. But I think I have a heart. So then I wondered why the difference? I mean, we were both Nobodies in love… but our theories are different."
Luxord continued cooking.
"So then I started thinking about the one I loved, and I came to realize something."
Luxord shifted his weight at this.
"I can't stop thinking about him. I dream about him, I talk about him, everything I do is about him!"
"Demyx…" Luxord silenced himself quickly.
"Eh? Anyway, I realized after thinking that, the guy doesn't even know I care about him."
Luxord adjusted the oven's heat to off and took the frying pan and emptied its contents into a plate near Demyx. He avoided the other Nobody's gaze and began speaking again without realizing his thoughts were pouring out of his troublesome, sneering mouth. "It's alright, I love someone too. He doesn't know either. So really, we must be in the same boat… right? Think about it. Maybe… we should make a club about being to stupid to confess our love. I bet Saix would join." He ended with a smile.
Demyx thought about this. "Luxord, you said we were in the same boat. If we were in the same boat, could that mean we both love each other?" he inquired boldly.
Not expecting that, Luxord turned around with a bit of an odd noise. "Dammit, burnt myself on this stupid thing." He thought it was a clever cover up.
"Ah… should I kiss it better?" Demyx asked blushing.
Luxord made another weird noise and tried his best to hide his embarrassment. "No, thank you though. I uh… should be fine—"
Demyx had leapt from his seat in silence and now made his way around the counter to Luxord, now staring him in the eye. He had rosy cheeks, which Luxord told himself was from the heat of the kitchen.
"Eh, Luxord, I just wanted you to know something—"
Luxord hollered, "Dinner's ready!" He figured anything to get more people near him was a wonderful plan. "Yes?" he asked now that Xemnas entered the room, followed by a floating Saix staring at his superior.
Demyx pouted. "You did that on purpose!" he exclaimed. "Fine, then I'm doing this on purpose!" He then proceeded to grab the other man's cloak and pulled down. "Lie your way away from this."
Demyx kissed Luxord on the lips. "Now are we in the same boat?" he asked smugly and walking away from a floored Luxord. He turned to Luxord as he reached the table. "Hey, don't forget we sit next to each other. That's what lovers do!" he added with a smile. Granted, nine and ten went together already. He just had to use that word to talk to the one he loved.
