At Last - Joan Osbourne

Eriol Hiiragizawa and Kaho Mizuki - Post-Cardcaptor Sakura

'At last' Eriol thought as he heard the front door open, heralding the return of his one and only. Folding his newspaper he rose from his wing-backed armchair and stode with long-legged steps to greet Kaho as she returned with the groceries she had gone to purchase. Her long hair draped around her as she bent down to unclasp her shoes at the door, the shopping dangling from one hand as she struggled to balance the weight. Her almost awkward movements made him smile, she was everything he could have asked for, if he had of known just what he had been looking for. A part of himself relaxed as her eyes glanced up at him, shining with happiness as she swept her hair back and attempted to undo her other shoe. Leaning forward, Eriol gracefully removed the shopping from her tiring hand with his long fingers, his height now towering above her. She laughed breathlessly as he stopped her from wobbling with a touch of his gentle hands, his own face lighting up in his own little grin. 'So unlike her' he thought, without malice, as he turned and headed to the kitchen.
Eriol smiled nostalgically as he was reminded of his past life and the past love he had seen. Often, he had longed from the touch of her slender hands and he dreamt of being draped in her silky black hair, all the while knowing that love would never be his, she was probably long dead, uninterested in his boyish memories of her. He heard footstep behind him as Kaho trotted to his side, her hair brushing his cheek as she reached up to plant a kiss on his lips. Eriol put the groceries on the bench and took her into his arms, her small figure wrapping neatly into his chest, her hair tickling his hands and chin. He contentedly rested his chin on top of her head and she sighed with happiness. Her happiness made Eriol swell with pride and joy, his heart began to beat faster with the thrill of her being so close to him, closer than he thought anyone other than Ruby or Spinel would get to him. He laughed with relief at his luck of being a part of someone else's life, he grasped Mizuki tightly and danced with her around the kitchen, their laughter flooding them with light. They belonged to each other, their lonliness gone, never to return. They kissed and felt like the luckiest people in all of the universes. Eriol was not Clow, he was Eriol, and he belonged to Kaho. He had found his own long-haired witch.

CLAMPCLAMPCLAMP

In case you didn't guess the woman he's imagining is Yuuko. Who wouldn't fall in love with Clow's memories of her?

These two never get enough coverage, and they're actually a couple which kind of confessed. I'm surprised. Anyway, I'm kind of doing a series of these so if you like this one see if you can locate a few others dotted throughout the CLAMP sections. Thankyou~!
