Preface
This SYOC Fangan is going to be entirely in script format! As such I'm going to be using certain formatting tools to help indicate specific things!
Normal text like this is probably speech! It'll be prefaced by who's speaking!
Italics indicate the inner thoughts of the view point, the narration. It's how our protagonist will speak to us, the audience.
[In brackets are stage directions]
Bold will be used to indicate location, along with being used for emphasis and a few other things!
When class trials start to become a thing, there may be different formatting used! That's all for now!
UNKNOWN LOCATION
?: Here we go…
I began typing on the keyboard in front of me. This was it. What I had been waiting for my chance to do for so long, finally I could get started. Letters and numbers lit up the screen. Not too long ago this had all just been a dream. We were about to enter the final stretch.
Of course, maybe I shouldn't be so happy about it. It was a huge risk. Though… Backing out of all of this now really isn't an option.
Afterall, I am the mastermind behind what's about to happen.
?: So do you think all of this will be worth it?
"MASTERMIND": Hmm?
A collaborator of mine spoke up. Another traitor you could say. Of course I couldn't have done all of this work on my own… I needed people I could trust. People to help me. We had a lot of work ahead of us.
"TRAITOR": [reluctantly] Do you think that this'll all be worth it when we finish?
"MASTERMIND": [resolved] Yes. Honestly, I believe we're doing the right thing.
"TRAITOR": Most of them won't even make it through this though. Not even the majority of those sixteen will be able to survive you know?
They were right. A lot of people were going to die from all of this. People had already started dying. It was all part of the plan though; they had to die for it to work. It can't succeed without it.
"MASTERMIND": You know that's what we're counting on.
"TRAITOR": …I guess that you're right…
"TRAITOR": We need to end it. This… This world that we're living in. It can't go on as it is now and to be able to get to the ending that we want some people will just have to die.
"MASTERMIND": That's right. It's not long until this'll all be over. Either… Either we'll be the ones to end up dead, or all of them will…
"MASTERMIND": It's just the risk that we decided to take when we started all of this.
I quickly pulled up what was going to be our target, getting all of the information that we needed. I looked at a familiar image and sighed.
Honestly, at this point it made me feel a little tired.
"MASTERMIND": Hope's Peak Academy.
"TRAITOR": Yep. Standing strong and tall even after the end of the world.
"MASTERMIND": As always. I feel like no matter how many times anything were to happen, they would always find some way of bringing it back, wouldn't they?
"TRAITOR": Obviously. Nothing that Junko Enoshima's done has been able to keep it down at least.
That was a name I was tired of hearing too… It was our turn to change things up a bit. Make things a bit more interesting for once; Junko and the Ultimate Despair were overrated anyway, what does that all mean anyway?
What exactly is "despair" in the way that she meant anyway? In the end… She doesn't really stand for anything.
Now's the time to really bring something to the table, something fresh and new, something that'll really mean something to the world. Something that'll be able to end it.
"MASTERMIND": [determined] I think that it's about time we got this started, don't you?
"TRAITOR": [nervous] Yeah… I'll get going then.
"MASTERMIND": I'll see you soon.
I watched them leave and turned back to the screen. It was time to begin… It was time to let this entirely new set of games begin. These killing games.

And with that, we're getting all of this kick started. This won't be the last time you here from these two though.
Either way, first thing's first. I actually need people to start submitting OCs! The form that I need you to fill out will be both below and on my profile.
I don't think that I have much else that I want to say here, other than that I'm excited for this new project. I hope that all of you are interested in this first chapter and what's to come!
There's gonna be a time limit on submissions! Please get them in no later than Saturday the 10th of March, I'm not planning on giving extensions either because that's when I'm planning on announcing who has been accepted!
Now, let's get onto the actual form. Oh also! No submitting through reviews! That should be obvious though. I'm not going to go through a bunch of rules because I trust most of you to either ask me questions you have, or know what you're doing enough not to need further instruction.
Application Form
Please read until the end before filling it in!
Name: (Basic enough! I'm primarily accepting Japanese people and I'd prefer to have real names, so feel free to use jisho dot com but actually written like you would write it, to find some good good names! It's easy to find meaningful names on there too if you really wanted to! Either way, go wild.)
Age: (Between 16 and 19 generally! That's the age range here. It'll probably never come up unless you decide to make a character with an odd age, if you do please give me a reason why!)
Gender: (Live your dreams, this is self explanatory, your characters gender identity is up to you.)
Ultimate Talent: (What's their talent! If it's something too specific then I'm gonna make it less specific but let them specialize in what you want them to, but it does need to be something I can at least reasonably look into!)
How did they obtain their talent?: (Everyone has their talent for a reason! It could be for specific advancement, general wide skill, having a specialization that does well for them, or a lot of different things really! I may expand on this myself too!)
Personality: (What are they like as a person? They don't have to have a personality entirely tied to their talent! Everyone's a person even though they might be incredibly talented and a person is a person no matter how much talent they may have. Either way, either a paragraph or two, or several bullet points are good as long as you give me stuff to work with!)
Backstory: (This is kind of self explanatory! As long as it makes sense with their personality I really don't mind what you do, but just remember that not everything has to necessarily be particularly extreme. Again, people are people and just because they have a powerful talent, that doesn't mean that they've had a wild life. Either way! You're allowed to do what you want as long as you give me a few paragraphs to work with, or a list of bullet points that really show how they formed as a person and give me something to work with!)
Appearance: (I'm pretty sure that most of you know what people look like! You shouldn't feel restricted by their talent, while I do want them to make some sense with the talent, a lot of characters in DR look very different to what you would immediately think when you see their talent! Please include a physical description including height and describe their clothes, I might rearrange a few things like the palette, but everything'll be based on what you give me! If you want you can add something that might be useful in the killing game! No guarantee I'll let them keep it, but if it's just something like a backpack for example or an item related to their talent then that's totally fine.)
Interests: (What are some things that they like! This isn't just a list of likes though, what are their hobbies outside of their talent and what generally spend their time doing that they're interested in. Put what they do just like too, but I'm interested in things I can use for their characterization too! It can relate to their talent and personality as much or as little as you'd like! Or rather, it's part of their personality but doesn't have to be apparent.)
Dislikes: (Kind of the same as the above segment but negative! I do want to know what they literally do dislike, but I'd also like to know what they don't like doing. Again, this can relate to their talent and personality as much or as little as you'd like. It's still part of their personality, but that doesn't mean that it's apparent!)
Strengths: (What are their strengths as a person? Literal strengths are good but I also want to know what the stronger parts of their personality are and how these parts help them!)
Weaknesses: (What are their weaknesses as a person? Again, literal weaknesses are good, but knowing about the weaker parts of who they are and how these serve as drawbacks to them is largely what I want to know!)
Anything else?: (Honestly, I feel like most of this covers the basics! So I'm going to give you room here to say anything else that you want to say about your character. Any odd habits that they have? Anything you want to clarify or note as particularly important? That all goes here! I don't think it's helpful to have a thousand segments for you to fill in, so just be sure to clear things up for me here so that I can know what you want!
