I'm having a bad day.

WARNING: Kind of graphic near the end.

Silly rabbit- Butch Hartman owns DP, not me!

Entity of Fear

Through the woods with nothing but his mind, his body, and his ghostly abilities- this was all he had as the tree slapped at his face repeatedly. His body expended energy slower than it actually helped create. He couldn't help himself. So full of fear and anxiety and… and everything else you could think of. He had no idea what to do. As a hero, he should have been able to stand to his foe and bravely confront this menace. This time, he couldn't.

Something coursed through his veins. Was it dreaded fear… or was it angered hate?

He had no idea. 'Keep running,' he thought frantically.

"Coward."

The voice- so deep and so sinful. He didn't know where to go. He tried to take a deep breath, but none would come. It was ragged, scared, and full of anxiety. Rings appeared around his waist and split down the middle, revealing the ghost teenager of Amity Park. Phantom was never scared… but right now, it was different.

He was here. The ultimate enemy.

"Are you really that afraid to face me?" he taunted in the darkness, the sound of fingers cracking echoing through the woods. "My, my, you've grown weak, Danny. I never would have thought that this day would come, you know."

'Say nothing… say absolutely nothing…'

Dan's voice didn't fail to hide the grin plastered on his face. "Come now. I want to see how much you've grown."

Phantom squeezed his eyes shut, butterflies furiously slapping at his innards. When did this happen? When did he deserve this? What had he done? His hands glowed bright magenta, a blue stream coming out of his mouth. He felt his entire frame shiver. "I'm not going to fight him," he muttered, clenching up. "No… I won't."

His eyes shot open, and suddenly, he was face-to-face with his future self. Dan smiled, his teeth gleaming in the green spotlight. Phantom froze, the adrenaline pumping into overdrive and providing him with enough energy to run a steam-powered train. His breathing quickened. Eyes became bloodshot.

Dan leaned in. "Hi there… Daniel."

A hand glowed bright magenta, the color of blood.

Phantom screamed, his voice nearly overtaking his future self. A gloved hand met his mouth, followed by a loud swear. Red met black, and there was a cruel laugh. Phantom's eyes blazed with tears.

A loud blast was heard. The sound of liquid slapping wood followed.

And all that was left was evil laughter.

It's obvious this is dark and fearful as hell. This is a vent fic. Something has been bothering me immensely for the past couple of hours, and I really dished out some things I should not have done. If you are reading this, it has something to do with someone new. DAN is that person. Nothing more.
