Nina sat up today was the day, her first day on the job. She did her hair got dressed and ran out the door, she was working at SVU for the first time she thought she'd found the job that she'd actually like. She slowly knocked on the to the Sargent's office Murphy and Benson fighting as usual "you can't tell me what to do any more so just get out" Olivia said "well I'm not leaving for two weeks" he said turning around to see Nina standing there. "Sorry was I?" Nina trailed finding it awkward Olivia shook her head and Murphy left. "I'm Nina" she said "Olivia" Olivia answered looking her up and down trying to figure her out.
Meanwhile
Murphy was talking to someone else Eddie! he was working a case and Eddie gave him an idea "play the recording backwards" Eddie suggested. Murphy didn't like being told what to do but went along with it anyway. It worked out great and Murphy thought he was perfect for the job. As for Nina she was also leaving an impression on the SVU team. Finn was questioning and old man and Nina was observing;
Finn; where's the girl?
oldman; I don't have her I swear
Finn: I'm running out of patients with you
Nina stopped the conversation "may I?" she asked Finn nodded and stood back "what is she-?" Murphy began but Olivia shushed him. Nina sat down in front of the man and she was very calm.
Nina; sir I get it that man was out of line
oldman; terrible when your my age being attacked by some whipper snapper
Nina giggled a bit before turning serious again. She knew she needed to say quiet and calm to keep him talking and apply just enough pressure to get him to admit. After a half an hour they got everything they needed to know, score 1 Olivia. Murphy wasn't giving up on Eddie he needed to prove he was right as usual but so far it looked like Olivia would win this battle
