This is from my old account, named LaurelCrown11.

Disclaimer: I am a 12 year old girl and Rick Riordan is a middle aged man. I'm sure you can connect the dots..

"Why were you even born?" screamed Helen.

Annabeth shrunk back, scared of what her supposed mother would do. A cyclops had smellt her, and attacked the hotel she and her family were staying at for vacation just a few hours ago. The sirens of the police cars had luckily driven the monster away.

"Nobody ever wanted you," she continued. "You're that one piece that just screws everything up, the piece that messes up everyone's day!"

Annabeth looked at her father, who stood nearby, not doing anything to defend Annabeth. You don't even help your own daughter, she thought.

"You're the magnet that attracts all the unwanted bad things!" Helen said. Finally, Annabeth snapped. "Well I'm sorry, but I can't help it! It's not my fault I was born this way!" Annabeth retorted.

"What did you just say to me?" said that evil woman. "Nobody EVER talks to me that way. You're just a little kid who is just so damn stupid! Go up to your room! I don't EVER want to see you again!"

Fine, Annabeth thought. You don't want me here, so I'll just leave. Happy now?

After Helen had FINALLY gone away, she grabbed her leather bag and packed it with necessities as if she were going camping, which in a way, she was. At second thought, she grabbed a book that her father had given to her, titled "Architecture and Blueprints".

The next morning, Annabeth woke up early and grabbed her precious backpack. She tiptoed down the stairs and opened the door. Casting one last glance at the house, Annabeth Chase walked out pf the house which held so many memories.
