Chuck and Blair prompt from an anon- 10th Wedding Anniversary
"Blair Waldorf-Bass I know you took it!" Chuck yelled as he entered their bedroom in the Bass family townhouse.
"Too late, Bass! I have hidden it, and your not getting your top secret package back until you hand over the present for me being your one and only for ten years and counting!" Blair ran from the closet wear she had cleverly hidden the package in an old Manolo box hidden from sight. She waltzed out of the closet to come face to face with a angry Bass with mischievous eyes. He smirked and in one motion grabbed Blair and swung her over his shoulder.
"Well, that's too bad, because now I have to use handcuffs, and not for the reasons I enjoy." He placed Blair in one of the chairs in the bedroom, and grabbed the handcuffs hidden in a black box under the bed. He handcuffed her to the chair and after taking a good look at his now-fuming wife cuffed to a chair, he walked into the closet and began to dramatically search for the package. Truth of it being that the package was the proof of Blair's gift.
"Your not going to find it, Chuck. So might as well let me go and accept your inevitable defeat." Blair smirked, and was sure that he would give up and into her in a few minutes.
"Don't be so sure Blair, I know you are just as much Carrie Bradshaw as you are Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda," he said as he reached into an old Manolo box.
"Damn you, Bass. You motherchucker!" She knew she had lost any hope in controlling her surprise gift from Chuck.
"Maybe you wouldn't be so angry if you knew the package you stole was your gift," he said as he left the closet. Chuck walked back into the bedroom and un-cuffed his wife. She was blushing at her embarrassing mistake, hoping it wouldn't effect their anniversary evening. He smiled and handed over the package, and she readily grabbed and opened it.
"Oh my… Chuck!" Inside the package was a picture of giant purple diamond found in Africa, being held by the discoverers.
"It's the most rare and beautiful diamond in the world, and it's yours. The Blair Diamond, I had to fight King William and Queen Catherine for it." Blair was tearing up, and couldn't stop looking at the picture of the stunning diamond. Even though it was still uncut, it's presence and grandeur took her breath away. "I know the traditional gift for the big 1-0 is Tin or Aluminum, but you are Blair Waldorf- Bass and the modern option, diamonds, seemed better fit. The diamond will be here next week and you can sit down with the Harry Winston jewelers and discuss how you want it cut and what you want it cut for."
"Chuck, it's… unbelievable. I can't believe it! How, why? Wait I need to give you my gift!" She jumped up and grabbed a wrapped parcel. Chuck smiled and tore the wrapping paper like a child (he never was one to save the wrapping paper) what he found was a tin pounded frame with a picture of them on their wedding day, and engraved at the top was written, "In the face of true love you don't just give up". The picture was the two of them mid-dip and at the center of the photo was Blair's diamond ring adorned hand resting on Chuck's cheek. "I know you prefer buying diamonds over receiving them and you do have the best taste in jewelry, so I wanted to give you a picture of the diamond that changed everything, the diamond you almost died for, and most of all the love you never gave up on, and for that I can never thank you enough, I love you, I love you, I love you." Chuck smiled, clearly moved by the thoughtfulness of the gift. He placed on the bed side table and moved closer to Blair.
"3 words, 8 letters, always. Happy Anniversary, Blair." He then kissed her just like he had done ten years ago, and the undeniable pull was as undeniable as ever.
