Hello. this is my second fanfic. Hope you guys enjoy it(:
Preface
I was eight years old when I found my first letter from my dad. My mom had left me alone at our house while she went out with her friends. She had told me to clean up the house, including her disgusting room. I, being afraid of her during the time, did everything she told me to do. I had accidently dropped her mail box while dusting her shelves and found a pink envelope addressed to me. It had already been open, and seeing that my mother wasn't home, I decided to read it. Inside was incased a letter and a birthday card from last year, the letter was written to my mother but the cards was for me. It was a lavender colored card with little butterflies and a big bright sunflower in the middle and in top it read FOR MY SPECIAL LITTLE GIRL, inside was a simple message in messy writing, it read:
Dear Isabella,
Happy birthday sweetie, I hope you have fun on your special day!
Love always,
Daddy
Till that day, I didn't have a father, he just didn't exist. My mother, Renee, had always told me that my dad was dead. Cruel? Indeed, but cruel was her middle name. She didn't love me as a mother should, she would put herself before anything. Her money, boyfriends, friends, and work all came before me. If I was hungry, she would tell me that I should be ashamed of myself, that kids in Africa were starving and here I am asking for food. When I needed new clothes for school, she would tell me that I was being selfish, that the world doesn't revolve around me. Until that day, I finally realized that I wasn't being treated right. That no mother should tell their only child that their father is dead, I would cry myself to sleep every year on Father's Day, clutching my little arts and crafts that my class had me make, because I had no one to give it to, or when my school held the annual Father Daughter Dance, I had no one to dance with. My mother would mock me and say "too bad your dad is dead" and laugh at me sarcastically.
Mothers shouldn't do that, they should try to protect their little ones, not torment them. That's why when I read the card, and it said, "Love Always, Daddy" I literally hear d my heart beat in my ears. I was mad, I was angry, I was happy, I was confused, but most of all I was disappointed. I couldn't believe that my mother lied to me to that extent. From that day on, I didn't see her as a mother. I saw her as Renee.
this is a little background info about Bella's life when she was little. it'll get more into depth in the later chapters. The first chapter will be up shortly(:
