Author's Note: I was listening to a beautiful classical song (John Corigliano's The Red Violin: Chaconne for Violin and Orchestra), and after just recently getting Final Fantasy X-2 I witnessed the dependance Yuna feels toward Tidus (love stricken young adult she was created to be). So me being all twisted and such, I made a one-shot of a dream I thought Yuna should have.
It is pretty depressing, so I advise that you not read it if you like happy jumpiness. I made it go with the mood of the song I was listening to, so it might be weird. There were so many crescendos in it The Song.
-Disclaimer-
I do not own FF or anything like that. Yuna is a little spooky, I like Rikku better. But yeah, I don't own them.
Yuna stepped out of the fog, her boots making little sound as she jumped ledges to cross the darkened water. Soon she was in the dilapidated temple that was unfamiliar, yet she knew exactly where he would be. Her eyes met his as she stepped into the long corridor. It felt like miles away, but then she must have waited for this moment for so long. She touched his hand as he stroked her cheek, seeing the tears going down her face. She wished he would stay, but suddenly he faded away as if he was smoke. Her eyes streamed with even more tears, she searched everywhere in the temple. He wasn't anywhere.
That's when they attacked.
Her friends, Rikku and Paine were nowhere to be found. Tidus had disappeared. She was left alone, and there was Vegnagun. Her gun was at her side, and she shot at the thing. BLAM! Nothing seemed to make this monster go away. She was so desperate for someone, somewhere. The massive machina disappeared.
Everything went black, she couldn't see her hand in front of her face. Step...step. The faint sound was so deafening it made Yuna want to scream. She felt it was taunting her.
The steps grew louder, and louder, then faded back to a soft. She turned around and around trying to get a glimpse of the figure. She fell to her knees. Wind blew around her, and she shivered. She was so alone. She thought she saw him. His face.
Her mind told her to run, run far away. She stayed, and watched as the face morphed into one that she had to destroy. Her hand found her gun, and she aimed.
He was gone. She could still hear the footsteps.
All this time she had been silently crying. The tears falling down rapidly. She felt worse and worse. Her mind felt as if it was caving in. She covered her ears. But the sound of steps were still heard. Stop it! Stop! she mouthed, for she could not speak. She scratched at the floor, trying to find some way out.
She stood up with her hands over her ears. A light began to shine, then slowly dim; showing her what she had wanted to see. A door. But not just a door, her Tidus was waiting there for her. His arms were outstretched.
Yuna stepped silently, the footsteps far from her mind. Faster, faster. She was almost there. Just a few more steps. Her hand reached out, then the lights went out. Her body lunged forward, but nothing came to steady her.
Down she fell, into a shaft. Endlessly falling into the abyss. Her mind cried out. The tears still fell. She didn't know what was happening. All she knew was that she was alone. And she hit, blood pouring from her eyes where the tears once fell.
Wake up Yuna...
