A/N: Gah, I haven't posted on here in a while! A LONG awhile, hehe ^^; Sorry, I've got personal issues that prevent me from posting a lot of stuff, due to time limitations and stuff like that. But, I've had a total fangirl obsession with this old crack pairing and I wanted to make a story. So, enjoy~!
Blank.
She stares at the blank skies that surround her, making her feel small.
And petite.
But not the same as the day she faced the land's leader.
The land's keepsake, Magma's helper.
Maxie.
She clenches her knees to her chest, her face growing paler each second.
Even the name makes her quiver in fear.
Yet, she feels warm.
She feels as hot as the magma its self, the magma that surrounded her the day she faced him.
The day she never could figure out.
He was horrible, but he talked like a gentlemen, talked to her with, what it seemed, a high-key of respect.
She feels her body twitch recklessly, her nerves shocking her as her memory grows vivid.
He spoke soft, yet anger filled his solemn eyes. He battled with strategy, he battled with skill.
She battled with luck and chance.
She gasps for breath, her face now grows red with heat.
Her blue eyes widen with shock, with surprise.
He closed his eyes as his Mightyena collapsed to the ground, the ground shaking and shivering.
She stood with confidence, with eagerness, as his face filled with disgust.
He spoke with anger in his voice, he spoke with a touch of insane as he clutched onto her thin arm. Her face turned into an unmasked frown.
He quietly faded into his own thoughts, releasing her arm. She blinked with confusion, she blinked with fear. He muttered, a hint of respect glimpsed in his red eyes that were no longer filled with fury.
"Mere child, the consequences will show themselves."
She finally inhales deeply, her body twitches and racks with uncontrollable nerves.
She slows down her breathing pace, and notices the pain in her hands.
She didn't want to think about him.
She didn't want to care.
But he appears consciously, and invades her.
And for once.
She regrets being the hero.
