Laughter in Lorien
Legolas rocked on the large tree root with laughter as he watched the hobbits. Merry and Pippin had managed to wrestle Boromir to the ground but the man was slowly gaining the upper hand. Boromir finally got both arms around the struggling hobbits rendering them immobile.
"Help."
"Help, Frodo, Sam."
Pippin and Merry called to their normally stalwart friends. Sam looked at Frodo with a smile. An unspoken message passed between them and as one they pounced on Boromir, tickling his sides in earnest.
Boromir who had been sullen the last few days was writhing on the ground in laughter trying to avoid little hands. "Aragorn...Gimli...Legolas..." called Boromir between peals of laughter.
"What say you Master Dwarf?" questioned Aragorn raising an eyebrow. The seriousness was broken by the twitching smile. "Should we free Gondor's Son."
Gimli watched the scene in contemplation a moment. His own eyes lit in amusement as he listened to Boromir's hollow threats.
"When I free...hehehe...myself from...hahaha...these hobbits...hahahehe...I'm going to hang you up by...hahaha, stop...your beard and...hahahoho...tickle you until you become an elf!" threatened Boromir.
In truth the threat didn't have it's desired affect as it was hard to be intimidating between bursts of laughter.
Gimli stroked his beard fondly. "Aye," he finally said, "maybe we should help."
Gimli and Aragorn waded into the mess of hobbits and man. Although the hobbits were smaller they were getting the better of thier foes. The rescue became a tickle and tumble free for all.
The glade was filled with with laughter.
The elf watched from his seat on the large roots laughing musically. He had never seen such an amusing spectical.
Soon everyone was collapsed on the ground in exhaustion.
Gimli's eyes locked on the elf. "And pray tell, why did you not join in Master Elf?"
Legolas sniffed tying to keep a disdained look on his face. It was rather an unsuccessful endeavour as he kept breaking into a grin. "Ah, I do not care to roll in the dirt Master Dwarf."
Feminine laughter came from behind them and the Fellowship turned to find Galadriel there. She had been watching the proceedings for quite some time now. "I am not so certain of that," she laughed softly. "I am sure it has more to do with the fact that our young prince is extremely ticklish."
The seven companions on the ground cast glances at each other. As one they rushed the elf. Legolas was quicker and lept into the trees dancing out of their reach.
~*~*~*~
Hours later Legolas made his was back to where the Fellowship was resting. He looked around at his sleeping companions and smiled. He lay down on his bedroll cocking an arm behind his head as he stared into the evening sky. He was just starting to drift off when a noise caught his attention.
He didn't have time to move as seven figures moving as one caught the elf prince. His musical laughter floated through LothLorien as hands descended on him unmercifully.
Let the tickling begin.
