Link stood by Midna. Zelda turned slowly and put her hand on Midna. Midna turned to her. "Please…please tell me…how do we break the curse on…this one?"
"This…is the one…you need him…to save your world! That's why…Princess…Please…you must help Link."
Princess Zelda put her hand up as if searching Link for something. The symbol on her hand glowed. "What binds him is a different magic than what transformed him when he first passed the curtain of Twilight. It is an evil power. Our world is one of balance. Just as there is light to drive away darkness, so too is there benevolence to banish evil. Head for the Sacred Grove that lies deep within the land guarded by the spirit Faron. There you will find the blade of evil's bane that was crafted by the wisdom of the ancient sages…the Master Sword. The Master Sword is a sacred blade that evil can never touch. Evil cloaks you like a dark veil…and that blade is the only thing that can cleave it. Link…Hero sent by the Goddesses…Like you, I have been granted special powers by the Goddesses…"
Midna spoke up "Fine…Link…You can...You can get to the woods…on your own, right? Princess…I have one last request…Can you tell him…where to find the Mirror of Twilight?"
Zelda waited a moment before responding. "Midna…I believe I understand now just who and what you are…Despite your mortal injuries…you act in our stead. These dark times are the result of our deeds. Yet it is you who have reaped the penalty…Accept this now Midna. I pass it to you."
Zelda grabbed Midna's hand as hers began to glow. Light from Zelda was flowing over into Midna. Midna gasped and looked at herself and back at Zelda. She began to float upwards and Link backed up. She turned to Zelda. Midna yelled "No! Link, stop her!" Link watched helplessly as Zelda passed on the rest of her magic to Midna. As Midna gained all of herself back Zelda slowly faded away. Midna floated back down to stand in front of Link. They both stared at the place where Zelda recently was. After a moment Link looked at Midna. "We go back, Link. Back to Faron woods." She grimaced and did a back flip onto Link. He turned around and walked to the door and stopped. Midna turned back and said "Zelda…I've taken all that you have to give…though I did not want it."
They warped out to Hyrule field and started off but a flash of light made them turn around. A huge force field of Twilight overtook the castle. Link growled. "Eeeeegh…." Midna looked at her hand then put it down in a look of defeat. She shook her head no and turned around. She bounced on Link telling him to go.
