As always I own nothing …

Buffy had that weird dream a few nights ago. She was in the graveyard digging. What for she didn't know. It was dark. It was night. She was all alone with a shovel. And she was digging. Deeper and deeper. Until she felt some resistance. She stopped. There was a small box. What can it be, she wondered. She was curious, she wanted to know. She must have had that dream for a reason. Things don't just come to you even in a dream for no reason when you're the slayer.

She kneeled down and reached for the box. Should I open it? Of course, she had to.

She didn't wait any longer. She opened it and was surprised to find a small piece of paper. That and something else. It seemed like a very small box. She unfolded the letter. Oh my God, she couldn't believe it. It was him.

Buffy,

So, tonight is the end and I knew I couldn't tell you this face to face. I knew you wouldn't believe it. But I really did love you, love. What we had did mean a lot to me, YOU did mean a lot to me and wherever I end up after tonight, heaven or hell, probably hell, you'll always be on my mind because I love you and could never forget you.

Find with this letter something I always meant to give you, it's nothing, just a necklace, but I thought it would look good on you. Why didn't I just give it to you myself? Because I'm the big tough guy, you know.

Since I got my soul back there hasn't been a day I didn't think of you. And knowing that now we can never be together again really hurts.

I just wanted you to know… I love you!

Tears rolled down her cheeks. So, he was serious then, when he told her he loved her before he sacrificed himself to save Sunnydale that day.
