Hi, I'm Bellalyse Winchester. This is my first oneshot in the Whoniverse, so any critiques are welcome.

Very sad beginning, cliffhanger ending.

The TARDIS could do nothing-it was unfair, beyond that even. It was a cruel trick on the universe that could not possibly be correct.

The Doctor was dead.

Thirteen regenerations passed-his lifetime. The TARDIS…she could remember it all so vividly.

He stepped from her doors, that insufferable smile which he always wore haughtily on his handsome face gleaming as brightly as ever. Neither could know the impossible coincidence set in motion with the Doctor's final two words.

"You got any money?" The Doctor turned to look at a man with blond hair and a hand under his jacket-with his usual candor he answered.

"Sorry, mate-"

There were two loud gunshots and the TARDIS knew before her master did that it was ended-the perfect, pure light that was the Doctor, bringing only happiness to those he meets, was extinguished by a device he would never even touch. And so she did the only thing she could imagine. She found the other Time Lord-the last of the Time Lords, if only she knew.

Donna Noble peered through her granddad's telescope. It was usually his to use-he wasn't at his best at the moment and insisted Donna look out through it for him, if only for a few nights. She sighed, shivering in the cold night air.

She heard a strange sound; it was a terribly familiar sound, one of those things you just can't place. Donna ignored it-she was Donna Noble, everywoman extraordinaire. She knew herself; she wanted to pay attention to what was in front of her face rather than turn her head to see life going by. That's why she didn't see what landed behind her until she got up to go back into the house.

"Oi, mum!" she exclaimed. "Since when do we have a police box in the yard?"
