This is my first non-Undertale fanfic! Yay... Anyway, I thought I would do this when the game released. I might not have finished the game yet, but I know what happens after everything else. I started making this last school year and had no time to get this up then. Now I have time and more chapters will be available soon! Anyway, here's the fanfic! Enjoy!
"Open your eyes. Wake up, Link." a mysterious voice commands.
As he does as he was told, he sits up, looking around. "Nnh...where am I?"
Shrine of Resurrection
"What is going on?" He wonders as he gets out of the spa/bath/whatever he was in. He looks around and finds a pedestal taking hold of what kind of looks like the newly released hPhone 75. "What is that?" he wonders. He walks up to it. What the heck is this thing?
"That is a Sheikah Slate. Take it. It will help guide you after your long slumber." the voice explains with a serious tone.
"Okay, thanks, mysterious voice." Link says.
He picks it up. Suddenly it turns on by itself.
Sheikah Slate: A mysterious tablet with a glowing center. You've never seen this device before, and yet...there's something familiar about it.
The door in front of him opens up on its own. "Dang, I love this place." he says as he walks through.
As he walks in, he notices two chests in front of him. He goes to the one on the left first and picks up:
Old Shirt: A thin shirt made long ago. It's coming apart at the seams, but it's better than nothing. The sleeves are a bit on the short side.
"Sweet, now my upper body won't be so cold." He puts it on as he walks up to the other chest. He opens it and picks up:
Well-worn Trousers: These old trousers are threadbare in spots, but they're surprisingly comfortable. The legs are a bit too short, though.
"Cool, now I won't be wearing just underwear." He slips it onto his legs. "Great, now my ankles are cold."
He notices a pedestal identical to the one in the back room. "Hold the Sheikah Slate up to the pedestal. That will show you the way." the voice commands.
Doing so as the voice tells, he holds it up to the Sheikah symbol on the pedestal.
Authenticating…
Sheikah Slate confirmed.
The pedestal and the Sheikah Symbols on both the pedestal and in the middle of the door glow an electric blue. The door opens ahead, bringing a hoard of light shining into the Shrine of Resurrection. Link covers his eyes from the blinding light.
"Link...You are the light-our light-that must shine upon Hyrule once again. Now go…"
X - Jump B - Sprint
He starts sprinting over the water, running into the very small rock wall ahead of him. "Oof!" he shouts as he falls to the ground. His nose bleeds a little, but wipes the blood off and his nose stops bleeding. He gets up and grabs the edges that stick out of the rock wall. He starts climbing and gets up to higher ground. He starts sprinting again. He runs outside to a spot on a cliff. He stops and looks around to see a devastating look of Hyrule. Everything is destroyed. But he ignores that and looks at the world that awaits him in this new journey.
