Authors Note: Hey guys! This is my first Pepperony fan fiction, so I haven't gotten completely comfortable with characters yet, but I wanted to post something for Peperony week. This fan fiction will have around 3 chapters, so here is chapter one of Your not as Invincible as you think you areā¦
To put things simply, I was freaking out.
I don't usually freak out; I think logically and figure out a solution. It is a very rare occasion when I do indeed, freak out, this happened to be one of those times.
It was when JARVIS said those six words that made my heart skip a beat. "I've lost signal to his Suit." I couldn't think clearly. My mind went through all the possible scenarios, 'what if he is dead? Then what will I do?' I wondered over and over again.
I turned the news on, hoping to get some sort of information, than just "I've lost signal. " The Breaking News headline read in bold letters, 'Tony Stark, dead?' I couldn't believe it. I wasn't going to believe it. The reporter said their cameras ha caught Tony flying through the air, and hitting a building, it had happened before, but this time he didn't get up.
They claimed it seems even Iron Man could have survived that. But, he had survived Afghanistan, he had survived Stane's attack, he had even survived flying a nuke into an alien space portal for crying out loud! How could he not survive crashing into a wall? I was expecting him to, pop up on the live footage and say something equally inappropriate and hilarious, but he didn't. He just laid there, unmoving.
That's when I broke down. Tears welled in my eyes and feel down my checks steadily. I took deep breaths, but it didn't help. I tucked my legs under my chin and let my head lay between them. I hugged my knees and occasionally clawed at my arms, when I thought of him trying to take away my pain. I didn't help because I thought I might as well die if Tony wasn't going to be in the world any more. This is something I had never thought of before. I really did love him. If I, Pepper Potts, was saying I might as well die, if something wasn't going to be in the world, It had to be something important to me, and boy was Tony Stark important to me.
