Robin was tired. She thought running an army was hard in the past? She wanted to tell her past self that being the tactician of The Shepherds was nothing compared to being the queen of a country.
Speaking of running a country, where in Ylisse was her husband? The two had made plans to meet up at nine, and it was now nine thirty. Sighing, Robin changed her course. While she definitely wanted to just go to her room and sleep the stiffness of her shoulders away, she promised Lucina and Morgan that she would visit them to read them a story before bed.
Part of Robin hoped that her young children were asleep, partially for their own health, but partially for hers too. As the tactician approached the room her daughter slept in, she heard a loud crash and the screams of her daughter.
"Lucina, a-" Robin stopped herself as she flung the door open. She had to blink once or twice to be sure that she wasn't imagining things. In the middle of the room was her husband, holding Falchion, with Lucina on his shoulders with a wooden sword in her hand. The two blue haired royals were facing the head of the knights, Frederick, who had a wooden board tied around his neck that said "evil dragon" in the messy handwriting of a child, most likely Lucina.
"Mommy! We're fighting the evil dragon to save Morgan!" Lucina shouted, waving her sword around and missing her father's face by barely an inch. Robin looked behind the "evil dragon" and saw Morgan sitting on Lucina's bed. Another crudely written on board was placed on the bed, only this one said "evil dragons jail".
Robin continued to look around in shock and awe. Her eyes drifted to a piece of doll furniture that had fallen from atop Lucina's dresser. Many articles of the princess' clothes were askew on the floor as well. The pink room looked as if a tornado had gone through it.
"Robin, my queen, be wary. This dragon has evil, dastardly ways! He will not hesitate to attempt to capture another royal!" Robin looked back at her husband, who looked incredibly silly standing amongst pink, frilly dresses and shouting such silly tangents with a straight face.
"Aha!" Frederick walked over to Robin and grabbed her wrist lightly. "I have now kidnapped your queen!" Frederick spoke in a monotone voice as he led Robin over to Lucina's bed. Robin sat down, still quite confused by the events transpiring.
"No! Mommy! We'll save you! Right, daddy?" Lucina looked down at the top of her father's head.
"Yes! We will save the queen from the evil dragon's clutches!" Robin looked over at her young son, eyes wide and staring up at his mother.
"Daddy and Luci are silly aren't they?" The little boy nodded at his mother, who picked him up and put him on her lap. "That's what makes them lovable though, right?" Morgan nodded once more, now gazing at his sister and father taking on the evil dragon that kidnapped them.
After Lucina and Chrom repeatedly hit the "evil dragon" with their wooden sword and sheathed Falchion respectively, he eventually fell to the floor in a dramatically fake flop.
"Oh no, I am dead." Lucina and Chrom cheered as Chrom tossed Lucina up into the air and caught her.
"Let's go free Mommy and Morgan!" Lucina and Chrom walked over to the bed and "unlocked" the jail, freeing the two captives.
"Thank you for freeing us!" Robin cheered, as she picked up her daughter and spun her around, giving her a kiss on the cheek. Chrom did the same with Morgan, picking the small boy up and giving him a large hug.
Lucina managed to convince her parents and Frederick to play the game with her three more times before she finally fell asleep, and Robin was the happiest she could ever remember.
