A/N: Small little onshot based on A Rose for Everafter. I loved that episode. The Beckett/Castle was like absolutely amazing. So , Enjoy!

"So Beckett, you've been a bridesmaid six times?" Richard Castle sat down on the edge of Kate Beckett's desk in the NYPD bullpen. Kate sighed,

"Yes, Castle; I was a bridesmaid six times. What's the matter with that?" Beckett scrawled her signature on a case file. She pondered the wedding the team had gone to yesterday. It was small, simple and Kyra and Greg really loved each other. It was exactly the kind of wedding she had pictured for herself, no matter what she told Castle. She was startled out of her thoughts by Castle's hand waving in front of her face,

"Earth to Beckett, I said I didn't have a problem with it, I was just wondering." He looked at her with something in his eyes that Kate could have sworn she saw when he had first seen Kyra three days ago. Then she realized he was expecting an answer.

"Well, I had a lot of friends from college who had gotten married and they asked me to be a bridesmaid. I never really put much thought into it before." Kate turned her head back to the case report on her desk but, by now the words weren't making any sense. They were morphing into wedding words. She saw her name and surprisingly or maybe not, considering Lanie and Kyra's comments, she saw Castle's name. Kate shook her head to get rid of the words and then snapped her head up when Castle spoke,

"Kate, are you okay? You were shaking your head pretty hard there." He looked and sounded concerned. So she gave him a smile,

"Yeah Castle, I'm fine. I'm just thinking." Castle seemed to accept this answer and stood up.

"So would you like to go grab some coffee?" He smiled a crocked smile and Kate had to say yes. She closed the report and dropped it on Esposito's desk before grabbing her coat and purse. She met Castle at the doorway and they walked along in comfortable silence.

Yes, Kate thought, I might have been a bridesmaid six times but, I just might be the next bride.
