Inspired by 'A Tale of Six Trillion Years and One Night'. Don't care that I wrote one for Sonic the Hedgehog, because the two are different, and I didn't go and change the names, I started from scratch, thank you very much.
Because Riley and Cheryl look like IA and her genderbend in the music video, minus the color. Don't own anything.
No matter how many times he told them, how many times he tried to defend himself, the people didn't understand, didn't want to understand that wielding aura did not make him the spawn of the demon.
-I gave up, and that's ironic, because aura knights aren't supposed to give up no matter up, like my hero, Sir Aaron-
They fear him, and that phobia of the different keeps them from hurting him, but it robs him of company, of the presence of a fellow human.
He hides it, because he must be impassive and have control over his emotions if he is to become a good aura knight, and he's cold but he stands it so he'll be the noble one.
-I was ten years old-
Eyes, mostly female with a few males as well, turn now, and he is twenty, tall, lean and strong with good looks, and the thought that he's a demon doesn't seem to affect them now, when he could prove to be beneficial.
He's affected. Silently, politely, he bows out and keeps his solitary habits, because that is all he knows, that and the endless cold within him and training until the sunset dyed the blue sky with pinks and reds and golds and oranges.
-and humanity's voice still hurts me, hurts the little boy within me that was once called in hushed whispers a demon child-
Her voice doesn't hurt him. She's like nature, a fellow spirit who has been forsaken by the narrow-minded, narrow-sighted folly that is humans.
She likes watching the sunset, he learns.
He joins her on the hill, both silently watching the majestic exit of the sun, the main actor in their play that is called life, lingering lights and fading heat a promise that tomorrow it would return.
-if everyone could leave like the sunset, everyone but us, I think, I really think that I'd be truly happy-
In a way, he gets his wish of a human companion that sees him, and not quite the demon child with glowing hands, when she smiles and offers her gentle hand to him and asks him to come with her.
He takes it, and marvels at the warmth that spreads through his body at the single touch.
He thinks that it won't be so cold now.
-it's really what I think-
