Gray remember grabbing Juvia's hand so she doesn't blow away from him. The Eclipse Celestial King is proving to be a hard opponent, even if they are attacking him all at once instead of small groups.
Once the strong winds die down he pulls Juvia closer to him so they can catch their breaths; getting better situated on the planet they're on so she isn't dangling in space. He looks at her in his arms, he wants to push her away, keep away from this fight but he can't because they are already in the Celestial Spirit World and she has already helped him fought.
Instead of trying to think of a way to keep her safe, he looks at how the King is attacking. That's when it hits him. His arms. If he doesn't have his arms he can't attack. He tells Juvia that much as they start running trying to attack him again.
But the King. . . .
The King does something that he has yet to show them and one Gray (or anyone really) is expecting. He lifts his hand and points his finger out at his and Juvia's direction. He screams her name, heart beating rapidly against his ribs as Juvia gets caught in the red beam and screams as she is sent to the sky.
"Farewell, Gray." Is what her soft voice says. Her last words.
Something inside of him breaks as he and everyone else sees her arms go to two planets as if they are her shackles and she is forever trapped between them. A small voice (Wendy? Carla?) states that Juvia has been turned into a constellation.
He calls her name again, wanting her to reply. Whether it's with "Gray-sama", "my love", anything. Instead he gets nothing. All he hears are her last words.
Farewell, Gray.
Her last words.
He will never hear her voice again. The one that has constantly been telling him she loved him since their first meeting. Seeing her personality change from that of cruel person who would crush anyone to someone who cares for her friends and is willing to die for them.
Now she's gone forever. He won't ever see her again.
No.
Not forever.
He will get her back. Her, and Levy, and Cana, Carla, Lily, everyone that has been captured and turned into constellations.
Balling his fists, Gray remembers all of the things he and Juvia have done. When they went to Heaven Tower, the resort, fighting Lyon and Chelia. Everything.
Now he's going to fight. Fight to get Juvia back.
The fight is over. Natsu hogged all the fun for himself by going into the Eclipse King's stomach, but now the Celestial Spirit World. When the Celestial King is questioned about those turned into stars he hears her. Her voice loud and clear.
"And we're all back!" His heart beating rapidly when he hears it, a smile forming on his face. Then "Gray!" Whether she added 'sama' at the end or not, asking if he missed, he doesn't know. He hears Lily talking about how he liked the life of a constellation, Juvia agreeing. She grabs on to his arm, grip firm. He swears he sees hearts in her eyes as he responds. But he doesn't remember his exact words. It's either replying to her question with another as to why he would do that or that real fighters don't twinkle. All he knows is that she's safe, he's smiling, and a foreign feeling inside of him spreading throughout his body and he could not welcome it more.
