If I were an Environmentalist

The world is such a beautiful place

The Earth, totally paradise

But little do we, humans ever

The damage we do, realise.

Plastics, garbage, dwindling number of trees

And more plastic and garbage

Are all that we have left

Of this splendid earth.

If I were an environmentalist

I'd want to really make sure

That we know our deeds

And bear the onus of what we do.

But we oughtn't to forget

That this earth is our mother

And mothers, as we all know, are

Forever forgiving.

If I were an environmentalist

I'd take exiguous steps and

Be privy of the deeds

Ever done on this forgiving land.

If i were an environmentalist

Folks, be ready to bid farewell

To the things that ever polluted this

Beguiling earth and say, 'Au revoir'!
