Hope you guys enjoy my first fan fic. I wanted to write something about Dustbunny for a while, considering it's my OTP. I hope you enjoy!

"I won't allow it, Weiss!" Olwen was almost yelling.

"Father… I promise it won't be any hassle to you or your work. I mean, you're away most of the time! She has no where to stay!" Weiss argued.

The two had been at it for hours. Ever since Beacon was destroyed and the City of Vale overrun, Weiss had been fighting her case in order to get Velvet, her partner, to stay with her in Atlas. The faunus' parents had settled down in another city, far from Vale's capital, and Velvet was going to go with them… But Weiss had other plans.

"She's a faunus, Weiss." The man's moustache twitched in frustration.

"So? Why should that matt-" The heiress was cut off.

"You know why!"

Weiss' father, Olwen, was threatening in voice. He had a way with his words. He would never lose his temper and always found a way to send chills down people's spines. He was passive aggressive, even while yelling, and kept his nerve even when frustrated.

"Please!" Weiss had been worked to the edge now, tears forming in her eyes. This was going in circles.

The Heiress started talking to Velvet a while after she started Beacon. At first she viewed it as a state of rebellion against her father, talking to a known faunus (Unlike Blake, who everyone believed was human), but after a while she realized she had actually fell for the faunus girl. She had ignored it. Completely. Continuing to just be 'friends' with her. Unfortunately for her, Weiss started to get overly kind to the faunus. Buying her gifts, spoiling her rotten, spending more time with her than she ever had her team… and Ruby caught on. She spoke to Velvet and, in the end, the faunus went to Weiss, and kissed her dead on the lips. She explained to the heiress that no one had felt that way towards her before, and that she made her feel special. After that they had started dating. Talk of the school for a while; A Schnee dating a faunus was quite surprising, considering all the controversy behind Schnees and Faunus.

And now, after the series of planned attacks, they were here. Weiss in tears, Olwen arguing and Velvet waiting for good news or bad back in Vale, with her parents.

"There's no point in crying, Weiss. No means no. That's final." Olwen stated.

"But…" Weiss' voice drifted into the air as she simply dropped to her knees, sobbing miserably.

"Olwen." Came a voice from the back of the large, white room. "Could you not give this girl a chance? After all, it seems that Weiss has a fondness for the young faunus. How bad could she be?"

That was Iclyn, Weiss' mother, acting as a voice of reason.

"Would you say that's fair, Weiss?" She spoke again.

The heiress sat there, wide eyed for a few moments before sniveling.

"Y- Yes." She stuttered.

It was at this point, that Iclyn called Olwen into the next room. Quite obviously to talk him down. It was only after five or so minutes before Weiss' parents returned. Even in his tyranny, Olwen had a soft spot in his ice cold heart for Weiss' mother.

"Weiss." The moustached man called out. "Do you trust this girl with your life?"

She sniffed again "Absolutely."

The heiress looked at her mother, who was stood behind Olwen. The older woman raised her eyebrows briefly. Letting on a small amount.

Her father spoke up again, after a small gap for thought.

"Fine." Olwen began "On one condition."

"Yes?"

"You are not to leave the house together, without guard and escort… And try not to be too loud." Good to see the man still had a sense of humour.

The small joke earned a snicker from Iclyn.

Weiss ignored it. Too dumbfounded to respond.

"Call her and tell her to head to her nearest docking station." Olwen spoke more seriously now "Weiss, you're to stay here in Atlas until she arrives. You will see her in the car, on her journey back to the manor."

Weiss nodded briefly before Olwen left the room, leaving Iclyn with her daughter.

Her father wasn't keen on the idea, he was doing this more for Iclyn than he was for Weiss, after all, the man was still caught up on the heiress leaving to go to Beacon. Still had bottled up anger from the slight defile.

Weiss took in a breath, swallowing.

"Thank you." She said.

"I want what's best for you, Snowflake."

"Thank you." Weiss repeated "Thank you thank you thank you so much for this!"

Weiss ran up and hugged her mother, who responded with a smile, hugging back.

And with that, they broke away and Weiss called Velvet.

"Good news?" The girl asked. "Amazing! So they're picking me up?... Great! I'll pack my things! I love you so much… Take care!"

And with that, the call was ended. Velvet put her scroll away, rushing into the next room.

"Dad! Weiss' folks agreed that I could stay with her!"

Inlehain looked up at his daughter, from his magazine.

"That's great, Vel! When are you going?" He asked.

"Soon! They're coming to pick me up soon!"

"Need any help getting packed, dear?" Mián called from the back room.

"I'm fine, Mama!" Velvet replied.

The faunus then rushed off to her room. She picked out all her thickest clothing, as well as muddles of pajamas. Casual clothes (Or, what Weiss would consider casual) to wear around the house and shoved it all in her suitcase. She could always buy more clothes if needed, or if wanted. She zipped up the suitcase, and rushed back out to say goodbye to her parents… well, more like asking them for a lift to the docking station.

"Say, daddy? Could you drive me up? To the ship dock, I mean." Velvet gave her most innocent of smiles, buckteeth showing in the process as her ears perked up.

Inlehain took in a breath, letting it out in a sigh.

"Fine. You better introduce me to this bougie missus, though." He teased.

"Dad…" Velvet groaned lightly.

Both of the faunus' parents didn't mind her dating a Schnee, despite the connotations. They were more worried about what made her happy, and whether Weiss would hurt her. Which, by what Velvet had told them, was near impossible considering how soft Weiss was once you melted all that ice. She really was a puddle of water with a dollar bill stuck in it.

With all packing aside, Velvet put her suitcase in the boot of the car, sitting herself in the front passenger seat, aside her father. Inlehain started the engine before Velvet called out.

"Oh! Forgot to say bye to mama!"

She then hopped out of the car, ran up to Mián, and gave her a kiss. Waving goodbye as she went back to the car.

"Anything else?" Her father asked.

Velvet put her finger to her cheek

"Hmm… Oh! Necklacenecklacenecklace!" Velvet panicked, feeling at her neck.

She wouldn't be able to live with herself if she left that behind. Weiss had brought it for her. Out of nowhere, a complete act of kindness.

"Oh my gosh Oh my gosh-" Her panic was interrupted as Inlehain placed the necklace in her hand.

"I know how much you care about it." He said "You left it in your room."

"Thank you so much. For everything." Velvet said, tearing up a little.

"Hey, ready to go?" Her father asked.

"Yeah."

And with that, they set off to Velvet's flight to Atlas.

Hope you enjoyed! I really loved coming up with the Parents names. If you wanted to know, Weiss' Father's name, Olwen, means White Footprint. Weiss' mother's name is obvious, Velvet's mother's name, Mián, is Chinese for Cotton and, Inlehain, Velvet's dad's name comes from a fictional language called Lapine, from Richard Adams' book Watership Down. It is a combination of Inlé, which means Moon and Hain which means song. So, it means The Moon's Song. Feel free to leave reviews, and I'll see you in the next Chapter!
