White Withered Rose

I'm losing faith in this cold bitter place,
my yearning heart has befallen from grace,
silent tears forever haunting my steps,
my world comes undone in my frozen sea depth,
my mirror so shattered for many a year,
only shards can I give,to the ones I hold dear.
Men only desire that which I can't bear,
thy heart and thy body they will not share,
the one that loves us seeks only my heart,
the other I feel for will tear me apart,
love alone does not survive through time,
my tortured soul, the devil's chime.
My sweet angels your mother is drowning in lies,
a smile is protection from her world that goodbyes,
you will not forgive me, I know this is true,
but misery's my forever, it's my hidden tattoo,
I am the beauty, the death of a white withered rose,
I whisper to you as this poem comes to a close.
A Literary King
There once was a man name Edgar Allan Poe,
who better than to think of when you see a crow,
he wrote poems and stories of mystery and darkness,
I don't need to tell you that he was an artist,
he changed the course of literature forevermore,
and made famous the word "Nevermore",
Boston, USA was his place of birth,
who said great tales required any mirth?
The Victorian era gave creation to a king,
a wonder, a genius he could do anything,
a tormented soul was he to the end,
dead or alive he has me as a friend,
sweet scented angels grace eternal shores,
whispering his name to my heart and yours,
I've love for a man as perceptive as he,
he knew how to feel and was as deep as the sea.
But the world ate him up in the blink of an eye,
it tore off his wings, so how could he fly?
a sad affair, the death of his beautiful wife,
was the end as we know it of his wonderful life,
melancholy and weary, he took to the drink,
to ease his own pain and not have to think,
he died so tragic, so young, at age 39,
but there he'll remain in the heart of mine.
Beauty Sinned
come with me, down a deep and darkened winding road, don't be afraid,
these roses have no thorns, they've been betrayed,
symphony's my aching soul for you , my darling,
please orchestrate this heart instead of snarling,
you think your ocean is deeper than mine,
my flame shall burn through the ashes of time,
I am the beauty, the mystery of a stone-cold grave,
let me lure you in and release my love as your slave,
everything in you that I've touched, I've destroyed,
I lost all hope through your emotional void.
Don't tear me down to elude facing your fears,
you've locked up my heart now I'll poison your tears,
you sit idly by, shy away like a craven,
you can't handle me because I fly like a raven,
your feeble ways will make you drown in this life,
I've carved out these words to you with your own knife,
you threw away a piece of rotten fruit from your tree,
I nurtured it, loved it, it was delicious to me,
this is it, our rope was ripped from the start,
I'm sorry your fictitious ways tore us apart.
