A light breeze blew in from the open window. Fiona sat at her desk, typing an e-mail reply to an online friend.

"Thanks for the warning about vampire activity. I should've figured that vampires were just as real as the other weird things that always seem to happen to me." She paused a moment, smirking a bit before continuing.

"Anyway, I'll stay on the look out while mom's touring in New York. And I'll watch my back. E-mail you later, Fi." It was a short e-mail, but Fi didn't care. It was to the point. That's all the was needed. She'd had her fill of the computer for now, so short replies weren't a big deal. She closed her laptop, tucking fallen locks of hair behind her ears again.

Sighing slightly, the brunette walked from her bedroom and into the kitchen. She spotted her brother, Jack, and leaned on the island counter.

"Hello brother..." She smirked. He cocked a brow at her, glancing over his shoulder from looking in the fridge.

"What do you want, Fi?" She raised her eyebrows, still smirking.

"Why must I want something to say hi?" Jack waved her off, grabbing the milk from the fridge and pouring himself a glass.

They both glanced over as Molly walked in. Fi smiled.

"Hey mom... we leaving soon?" Molly replied with a nod.

"Yep, you two have your things ready?" The brother and sister nodded slightly. Fi stood up straight.

"I'm going to go grab my battery charger for my laptop." Molly smirked.

"All right." And with that Fiona was off to her room.

Soon enough the Philips' were loading the tour bus and heading on, finally getting ready to leave for New York. Fiona had already set up her battery charger and plugged it in to her laptop. She opened the laptop, signing onto her website. Carey Bell sat across from her, drinking from a water bottle. The Bells were her mother's friends. Ned, Carey's dad, drove the tour bus and helped with anything mechanical. And Irene, Carey's mother, was Molly's manager.

And then there was Clu. Carey's younger brother. You could probably call him the wannabe surfer guy. At least that's how he acted. Fiona smirked as she thought, typing on her laptop. Carey cocked a brow to her.

"What's that face for...?" Fi waved him off. She continued typing as Ned started the engine to the bus. Irene followed Clu on, arguing with him over taking a boom box on the road with them.

"But mom, it'd be so great... we could be sittin' around and just jam." Irene rolled her eyes, ignoring him, a sign that Clu had lost. He heaved a sigh, giving up. Molly headed onto the bus with Jack.

"Just closed up the storage space. We're good to go." With that, Ned pulled from the curb, starting down the road.
