The Many Tales of The Marauder's Map

"Fancy see you out here after curfew, Potter." Professor McGonagall said sharply.

Harry stuttered. How could he have been caught? He was so focused on finding the mysterious Peter Pettigrew, that he didn't even notice Professor McGonagall.

"Well, I… you see," he began but she cut him off.

"What's that in the possession of your hands?" She asked, her eyes widening suddenly.

"Just a piece of spare parchment, Professor." Harry, said, scared that perhaps that she would confiscate. Good thing he had closed it though.

"What could you be doing out here with some parchment at 11 o'clock at night Potter?" she asked, her hand out for it.

Harry didn't respond and handed it over to Professor McGonagall. She raised her wand and pointed at it, "Specialis Revelio!"

Nothing happened. Harry's heartbeat slowed down slightly. She frowned and looked closer.

"I, Minerva McGonagall, Head of Gryffindor House and Deputy Headmistress, command you to reveal any secrets you may possess." She said.

For a moment nothing happened, than words began to magically appear on the page, seeming to be just written, the ink still fresh.

Mr. Prongs would like to congratulate his dear Transfiguration on becoming the Head of the great Gryffindor House

Mr. Padfoot concurs with Mr. Prongs and would like to add that though, Gryffindor is great, he would like to see Professor McGonagall be much more biased to Gryffindor like a certain flat slug.

Mr. Wormtail disagrees with both and feels that Professor McGonagall did not deserve Deputy Headmistress after failing him in Transfiguration.

Mr. Moony would like to add that he is proud of Professor McGonagall for becoming Head of House and can only hope that she has changed her intentions of discouraging mischief.

For a moment Professor McGonagall stood there, mouthing the names, Prongs, padfoot, Wormtail, and Moony. Then her eyes flew open.

"No it can't be, but Filch… he… How ingenious. Of course I had… I can't believe that they actually did it…I'm astonished…" she spoke to herself.

"Erm… Professor McGonagall, may I have the parchment back?" Harry asked once more, clueless.

Professor looked down at him for a moment. "Oh, I'm sorry of course, I must check upon something immediately. Hurry along now." She handed it to him and quickly walked off, forgetting about him being out after curfew.
