"This better be good," the insomnia affected demon grumbled.

"Well," Koemna laughed nervously, "I don't know all the details. But I do know it's very important."

The apparition growled. Koemna quickly moved to stand behind Yusuke before he continued.

"There's this woman, in my office, that says she knows you and has very valuable information and I wanted to have you check her out."

"You got me out of bed for some damned woman?"

"S-s-she said she knew you," he cried.

"Who is it?"

"S-s-she said her name was Nadia."

Hiei's scowl turned into a glower.

"Nadia Natishta Lupin!" he called out, though more like yelled.

"Yes?" came the ghostly reply.

"Here. Now," he growled.

"Did I wake you?" asked a not so ghostly voice.

Standing just outside the group was a young woman. She was Hiei's height with roughly cut, ear length, powder blue hair and obsidian colored eyes. She wore a simple black tee with roughed up jeans and boots. She was so pale she could have been mistaken as a member of the undead. And she had the same dragon tattoo as Hiei.

"Why are you here?" Hiei grumbled.

"Because of this," She said and held up a beautifully crafted sword, "You said you wanted it as soon as it was finished."

The katana's sheath was velvet black encrusted with a pewter dragon. The hilt looked like it was made of black glass. She held it out to him. He took it as if it were made of glass. He grabbed the front of her shirt and began to drag her down the hall, leaving Koemna and the rest of the team confused.

Once back in the demon's room, Hiei left Nadia for a moment. She took the time to look around. Hiei's room was surprisingly void of black. The walls were black but all furniture seemed to be white. Hiei returned. Nadia noticed he was still in his night clothes, a pair of lounge pants and a long tank. His eyes were highlighted by dark circles.

"I'm sorry I woke you."

He just sighed and laid down on his bed, facing the ceiling. Nadia rolled her eyes and stripped of her boots and jeans. She opened a drawer in Hiei's dresser and pulled out a similar pair of pants. She slipped them on and walked over to stand by Hiei as he drifted in and out of a light doze. She fingered the ends of his hair and smiled at him. He grabbed her shirt and pulled her onto the bed. She rolled to face him as he lazily kissed her.

"I didn't know you'd miss me so much."

"I didn't know it would take you that long to finish the sword."

"With great skill comes great patience."

"To hell with patience," he grumbled.

She managed a laugh through her newly acquired sleep haze.

"But I guess It's worth waking up for you."

And that was the last thing Nadia heard before taking a long needed trip to dreamland.
