AFTERGLOW
Levy collapsed back on the bed. The rumpled sheets pressed in distorted clumps into her back but she made no move to fix them.
Panting and sweaty-as if she had just run a marathon-her hair was riddled in angry snarls and probably resembled more of a bird's nest than anything else, but she was beyond caring.
She stared at the ceiling fan, fighting a losing battle to contain an embarrassed and self-satisfied blush.
Running her hand over her face, she could still feel the warmth of his hands- ghosting over her waist, her breasts, her thighs… Her blush returned with a vengeance making her an impressive shade of tomato as her heart sped up once more.
The fan made three lazy rotations before she calmed herself and broke the silence.
"T-that was..." she trailed off breathlessly.
Amazing, incredible, breath taking, intense.
"Ye…"
Gajeel's voice had a slight airy quality and Levy felt a surge of pride, knowing she could make him as breathless as he had made her.
She turned to him- about to make some witty remark- before she paused: her breath catching in her throat as she took in the sight.
He was sprawled out on his back: hands tucked behind his head as his glistening chest rose and fell in time with hers.
The light of dawn shining through the window highlighted every defining inch of him with a soft glow. The planes of his face, his traceable abs, the deep lines of his hips, his toned arms…
His smile though is what really did her in. It wasn't his regular grin –the one that split his face whenever she made him iron- no. The slight curve of his mouth now was small; easily overlooked. A smile she'd only recently begun to see as their relationship progressed.
No.
This was her smile.
The one he only ever showed for her.
The one that made everything else in the world disappear until it was just the two of them.
A sudden movement startled her out of her ogling and she realized he was looking at her from the corner of his eye.
"Wha-"
In a flash, she leaned over him pressing her lips against his, swallowing his words.
He was too much.
His voice, his touch, his scent, his body, the light, and the glow, it was all so overwhelming.
She pulled away from the kiss as he stared wide eyed up at her.
"Levy-?"
"I love you," she stated surprising him further.
She giggled as a familiar feeling started to overcome her. "Let me show you just how much."
