There is a cycle of birth, life and death. In our lives, we see this cycle unfold, as well as experience it ourselves. We are born. We live on and on, our lives stretching from days to weeks to months to years. And then we die.

To Yahweh, we die, then go to either heaven or hell, depending on our actions throughout our lives.

To Allah, we die, and our souls undergo judgement on the Day of Judgement, and much like Christianity, our souls either go to Paradise or Hell.

To Yama, we die, then reincarnate depending on our actions.

To the Gods, we each owe a death. To that rule, there is no exception. For the life we live, we must also give back that life at some point in time.

Sometimes, our lives are taken back earlier than our lifespans dictate. We are killed, or it is deemed that we should be killed for our actions.

Justice, some people call it.

I used to be one of those people.

Until I met Jon Coffey.
