"Your name is Shouto Todoroki, right? Sorry, I know this is a restricted area, but I wanted to talk to you. My name's Izuku. I wanted to see you with my own two eyes... and offer you something." he said, his face partially hidden in shadow. From what Shouto could see, this Izuku boy... wasn't much older than him, with green eyes that seemed both innocent and tainted, like he had seen something indescribable at a young age. The same kind of eyes Shouto saw staring back at him. He blamed that as the reason he hadn't turned Izuku in for trespassing yet.

"What offer? I don't have much of anything to want." He said blandly, staring to the left of Izuku.

"Your father, he abuses you and your siblings regularly, right? And he's the reason your mother's in a mental institution, and you have that water burn scar on your left, right? The reason you won't use your own power, because it reminds you of him?" Izuku paused, and Todoroki could feel his right cheek begin to frost behind his hair. He prayed Izuku didn't notice. "What if I said I could kill him, make him disappear for good. Or help you, if you wanted to do it to him yourself. No strings attached, he's just gone. You and your siblings wouldn't have to worry about him anymore."

"I'd say you're both absolutely insane and a villain, and I should call security." Shouto threatened emptily. He could already tell he wouldn't, and Izuku seemed to think he wouldn't either, by the smirk he had on his face.

"But you won't, right? You said you should, not that you would." He paused, seeming to contemplate a minute, before nodding. "You don't have to agree anytime in the near future, if you don't want to. It's a standing offer; and I have a second one as well. Let me be your friend. Let me in, have someone to rant to. Someone you can learn to use your fire around. I have extreme regenerative abilities, and apparently can't die. So you don't have to worry about hurting me if you use your fire. Deal?"

"Um, it's a standing offer, right? I don't have to say yes right away?" At Izuku's nod, he continued. "Meet me at the entrance to the festival-no, here, once the festival's done. I'll have an answer to the second deal then. The first... we'll see."

"Sounds good to me. I'll give you my number, so even if you don't decide to be friends with me, you have a way to reach me." Without asking, Izuku grabbed Shouto's phone from the pocket it was in, opening it up and putting in his contact info. "Cheers." He handed back the phone and left, leaving Shouto in the entryway to the festival coliseum, where in another life he would have told Izuku about his parents, and why he had refused to use his flames to harm another.

Bewildered, he opened his phone, typed in the passcode, (Fuyumi's birthday), and checking his contacts. In the 'I' section, there was Izuku, as well as (Therapist/friend TBD) next to it. Shouto rolled his eyes, rubbed his check with his left hand to melt the frost, and put his phone back into the insulated pocket it was in. He turned away from the doorway, heading down the hall and taking a right, not even noticing the piss-shit scared Katsuki Bakugou who had listened in on their conversation. He went to Waiting Room 1, and mentally prepared himself for his match against Mina Ashido, a Quirked acid user who also needed to be taken out with a single shot, preferably immediately, and making sure that the acid she produced couldn't be used to set herself free for more than a few minutes. Maybe freeze her so her arms were to either side, and make sure her hands were uncovered so the acid would just drip onto the floor, making her useless.

That seemed like a decent plan.
